Damage caused to a section of the pitch by a recent concert means that the Limerick SHC semi-finals will be played outside the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
The county grounds hosted a three-day music festival at the end of August which took its toll on the playing surface. The pitch will remain out of action until Sunday, October 26 when it is due to host the Limerick SHC final. In the meantime, the semi-finals will take place in Kilmallock and Rathkeale on Sunday week, October 13.
Championship favourites Doon await the winners of this weekend’s quarter-final between Patrickswell and Monaleen in Kilmallock, while holders Na Piarsaigh will face the winners of the other quarter-final between Kilmallock and Ballybrown in Rathkeale’s Mick Neville Park.
