John Kiely has been reappointed Limerick senior hurling manager for another two years.
In a further boost for the Treaty County, his assistant Paul Kinnerk was also ratified on a two-year term at last night's county board meeting. The rest of the management team will be confirmed at the October county board meeting.
Kiely's tenure officially ended with the Treaty County's All-Ireland SHC semi-final defeat to Cork, which also ended their bid for an unprecedented five-in-a-row of All-Irelands. However, he has attended a number of club championship games in the county since then and was widely expected to remain at the helm.
Under the Galbally man, who has taken a career break from his deputy principal duties at Abbey School in Tipperary town, Limerick have won five All-Irelands, a six in-a-row of Munster titles as well as three Allianz League titles.
