Patrickswell and Mungret St Paul's remain in the hunt for Limerick SHC honours following their wins over Ahane and Adare last night.
Goals in either half from Jordan Higgins and Aaron Gillane helped the 'Well to victory over Ahane in Castleconnell. Referee Johnny Murphy had the final score at 2-17 to 2-12, but local reporters and the official Limerick GAA stream had the score at 2-16 to 2-13, which could lead to Ahane objecting to the scoreline.
Tom Morrissey and Paddy Morrissey scored late goals for Ahane, but they left it too late.
In last night's other game in Askeaton, Niall Mulcahy's first half major was the crucial score in Mungret's 1-23 to 2-17 win over Adare.
The action continues in the Limerick SHC this evening with three games taking place - Kilmallock v Kildimo-Pallaskenry, Garryspillane v Monaleen and Ballybrown v South Liberties.
