The Laois SFC quarter-final draw has pitted St Joseph’s and Portlaoise against each other.
The standout fixture is a repeat of last year’s county final which St Joseph’s won by a point. In the other last-eight ties, Portarlington take on Ballyroan Abbey, Graiguecullen face Killeshin and O’Dempsey’s meet Arles-Killeen. The games will be played on the weekend after next.
St Joseph’s booked their quarter-final place with an emphatic 3-16 to 0-9 victory over Courtwood on Sunday evening, while Portarlington cruised to a 2-13 to 0-6 win over Clonaslee St Manman’s. In the weekend’s other Round 3 ties, Killeshin accounted for Emo by 0-16 to 1-7 and O’Dempsey’s were 5-16 to 3-12 winners over Rosenallis.
