Justin McNulty has declared himself satisfied with how his first season back in charge of Laois went.
The 2002 Armagh All-Ireland SFC winning full back reprised the role last October after a decade away and led the O'Moore County to promotion from Division 4 of the Allianz League and to the Tailteann Cup final which they lost narrowly to Down.
"If you said at the start of pre-season last October or November, that we'd be promoted and reach the Tailteann Cup final, and have been competitive there, we'd have taken your right hand for that,” McNulty told gaa.ie at a recent AIB event.
“So, in many ways successful, but still we are annoyed, in that we don't think we did ourselves justice in the final. We didn't play to our full potential, but overall we have to be happy with what the team has achieved.”
