Nigel Bracken struck two points in injury-time as Offaly snatched a 1-11 to 1-11 draw against neighbours Laois at O’Moore Park this evening.

Laois looked to be cruising after Kieran Lillis’s goal minutes before half-time helped them to hold a 1-10 to 0-7 lead with 15 minutes left to go.

The O’Moore men were had been six points to the good when Cian Donohue grabbed a lifeline for Offaly by blasting to the net in the 68th minute and points from Dylan Hyland (free) and Bracken had them within one in injury-time.

The opportunity looked like it slipped away for the Faithful men until Bracken came up trumps for them with a point at the death which meant the teams shared the spoils in this dramatic derby.

Fermanagh made up for the disappointment of last weekend’s late draw with Wexford by putting forth a dominant display against Leitrim in Carrick-on-Shannon,

Sean Quigley’s goal from a quick free in the 26th minute helped the Ernesiders on their way to a 1-19 to 2-7 victory and a first win in this season’s Tailteann Cup.

Longford also bounced back from their loss against Limerick in the opening round by seeing off fellow Leinster outfit Wicklow. 

It finished 3-17 to 2-9 at Pearse Park, where the hosts' goals came from Joseph Hagan (2) and Dylan Farrell as they secured their first points in comfortable fashion.

Antrim were in impressive form as they came away with a 2-15 to 0-14 win over Wexford at Chadwicks Wexford Park, where Aghagallon’s netted both goals for the visitors.

His second goal came in the 45th minute and was a hammer blow to the Model men, while Saffrons ‘keeper Michael Byrne also weighed in with 0-5 (3 frees, 2 ‘45s) over the 70 minutes.

In Dungarvan, Colm O’Rourke’s Meath side produced the goods to down Waterford (3-17 to 1-14) and make it two wins from two so far.

Having made a slow start, the strong favourites in this one only managed to lead by 0-9 to 1-4 at halfway stage.

However, the Royals would get motoring after the turnaround and banged in goals via Matthew Costello, Jordan Morris and Donal Lenihan to ensure a comfortable win in the end. 

Earlier in the day, Cavan and Limerick both recorded their second wins of the competition by seeing off London and Carlow, respectively, on away assignments.
