Kerry superstar David Clifford struck 3-8, including a first-half hat-trick, in Fossa’s Kerry intermediate football club championship semi-final defeat to Laune Rangers this evening.
It finished 1-19 to 3-11 at Fitzgerald Stadium, where last year’s Footballer of the Year struck a remarkable 3-5 from eight shots in the opening half, with his first goal coming inside 90 seconds.
Fossa would go on to hold a 3-8 to 1-8 lead at the break, before Laune Rangers outscored them by 0-11 to 0-3 after the change of ends to win out by two and set-up an IFC final date with Austin Stacks.
