Happy with that draw to be honest, but then again, I didn't really mind who we got. This Galway team are going well. It'll be interesting to see how they play in HQ. Haven't played there since the Meath mess last year and I'm not sure if the extra space will suit them or hinder them. On one hand, more space for the likes of Daly to kick pass balls into but on the reverse, more space for opposition to stretch our back who admittedly are not the fastest in the country but have a great work ethic.

Pearse Stadium has a bigger pitch than croke park!

Dublin game will be a real test, watching them yesterday was like a different team compared to the Leinster championship. Looked like Con may have re-aggravated his injury, whether they have him or not the next day will have a big bearing on the outcome. Time to rectify the limp exit last year at this stage and keep building momentum.

Correct. Pearse Stadium is the max size for a GAA pitch at 145m x 90m. Croke Park is 2m narrower I think. Croke Park has the best surface though and plays faster than any other pitch in the country. It's better suited to a more open game as result. A slower surface is a slower defender's friend.

Very true! I remember being a young lad first time playing in pearse and thinking this place is massive compared to all the other tight swampy club grounds.

Draw's definetely been kind to Galway. Hard to know what shape Dublin will be in after going to extra time and Con's injury. Full strenght you'd fancy Dublin but Galway may find themselves in a semi having not done a whole lot.

Best draw Galway could have got IMO it's about going out and winning now, if beaten I won't be using a silly rumour about a virus as the dubs did for the last championship meeting.

does anybody know if Johnny McGrath is still carrying a knock or has he just fallen out of favour?

He was Mr Consistent there for a long time so its disappointing to not have him starting

If Galway find themselves in a semi they'll have done a good deal more than Donegal anyways this championship

Not been too bad for your native county, good luck against Cork
