Bad loss today and the keeper experiment dud nt really work but cant blame him .He did well on kickouts mostly.Gannon and Murphy way off the pace but I suppose they needed leg time.We need a good draw next and our supporters to get behind us.

So Louth beat the Dubs for the first time in the Championship in 53 years. Fair play to them. Well done Louth.

Scoring 1-24 would win a lot of games but conceding 4 goals is criminal.
Only 16,610 turned up in Croker this afternoon.
Same hardcore fans on the Hill around me today.
But for how many more years…
Parnell Park is defo calling the DCB at this stage…!

Dublin have back-to-back championship defeats for the first time. And imo any team who loses 2 games in the Championship should be eliminated automatically anyway.

This season has panned out as many of us feared unfortunately. Hopefully it is a quick learning curve for all the newbies. If not….. :o(

Exactly.

Not sure that is the answer he wanted tbh.

Roll on the Hurlers next week Barney.

Love to see these lads win a Leinster Hurling title but Galway will definitely improve and have learned from our last meeting.
Hopefully a couple of our injured players can make it. We will need them.

Could most likely be my last game on the Hill this Summer, especially after today's calamity.

He more or less handed the ball to him for 4th goal!

Ill leave it there. That jersey ought to mean something. Maybe it doesn't in the same way.

Yeah, whatever about winning via the qualifiers in the old back door system, losing 2 games and still winning the all ireland is a bit much. Unlikely to happen though in fairness.

Not starting the Croke Park argument but a nearly empty stadium can't help these Dublin players. Wouldn't there be more atmosphere and life to a 3/4 to full Parnell Park.

No way Dublin or any other team that has lost twice should still be there.

All that awaits is humiliation. That jersey deserves better.

In fairness to the Dubs all through their 9 all Irelands 2011 to 2023 they never lost a game, qualifier or otherwise and never went through the back door to win Sam

We won one 'through the backdoor', and it was sweet as a nut.

I think it requires serious debate and consideration at this stage tbh.

The fall off in supporters is massive.

The fall off in our performances is not a real shock to me if the truth be known. I predicted as much well over a year ago.

The DCB have a lot of questions to answer imo regarding the underage coaching…..

How would you know what wearing a jersey means to a player? Keeper possibly should have stopped fourth goal but defender beforehand more culpable. They're young players who made mistakes. Hardly means they don't care.

Barney, we all knew we would be beaten by the top teams, but to now find ourselves being beaten by Div 2 and Div 3 teams is one hell of a fall off.

Opposing managers have us cracked and I am not sure even if Ger was there, that we would be much better tbh.

It is what it is and we are where we are….

It is gonna take a lot of time for us to be really competitive again imo.

Complete reset required..!

Is it actually the first time Dublin has lost 2 championship games in a row? If so that is a unique fact. Also a sign of the times, great respect for what was achieved over the years by JG and the lads but those days are over now, new squad to rebuild with needed. Also still think you were done dirty by GBs suspension, that would not have happened JG when you in were in the hay day.
