Replying To eoinog:  "I doubt very much if you will see any U.20. player at the weekend"
Your wrong keith higgins already said kobe & Darragh Beirne are free to play sunday .

1 week is plenty time to rest for a 60 minute U20 game.. fairly sure I had this exact same argument before the U20 connacht final last year and Roscommon were much improved despite having played the semi final.

Replying To Gaa_lover:  "Or any need to see them.

Mayos starting six forwards should be

Jack Carney, Ryan O'Donoghue, Jordan Flynn; Cian McHale, Aidan O'Shea, Tommy Conroy."
You don't think there's any need for Mayo to play their best players this weekend? Very disrespectful towards Roscommon...

Disrespectful? I have named 6 forwards all bar McHale are established senior championship forwards and I could name a few more. Mayo aren't relying on teenagers to start a championship game against Roscommon.

I imagine he was being diplomatic.
Yes they are free to play but in the background I expect there was a conversation between Moran and Higgins and an agreement made that neither boys will play unless needed. Both players have been used sparing but effectively by Moran.

Replying To Seanfan:  "Well done indeed lads.
I feared the worst when Galway got those handy points at start of 2nd half.
We need everything to go right next week and high possession to scores rate."
We need to improve our efficiency in front of goal. This is a good Roscommon U20 team but they've been wasteful in their games so far. Roscommon won't beat Mayo without a big improvement in accuracy up front.

It's not a question of relying on teenagers, but if they're clearly good enough to start it is disrespectful not to play them in a championship game.

Tommy Conroy has barely played in the last 18 months and looked very rusty anytime he has. Form and ability are more important than senior championship appearances at the end of the day

How do we see Sunday going as we are getting closer to Sunday. Unfortunately Im not to confident at all. I just can't see us beating them. I think it would be 50/50 if we had everyone available and fit but without them lads I see mayo winning by 6/7 points. Id be worried around the middle for mobility staying with mayo runners and our full back line could be under a lot of pressure. I'm praying il be wrong

A fit Tommy Conroy starts for Mayo and the league was used to get him up to speed. You have Towey,Boland plus a few other more established players that could be named to start this Sunday.

One of those teenagers started once in the league for Mayo which was in the heavy loss to Kerry and you have yourself convinced that he should start this Sunday over more seasoned campaigners?

Kerry are well ahead of the rest of the pack. Why shouldn't kobe play? He held his own v Armagh. Kobe did well v kerry in fairness to him. Tommy Conroy not fit enough to start sunday .
