Replying To Doylerwex:  "What a win lads. I didn't see something like that coming in the first round of the championship. Fair play"
Thanks Doyle.......I fancy Galway to win Leinster and go straight through to the All Ireland Semi Final.

Hard not too at this stage. Trick will be maintaining the peak, or ideally building it up further.

I'm happy to one game at a time it.

Which is how I expect we will approach it.

No need to be looking too far ahead. We've lost plenty of Leinster finals.

It will be great momentum for Galway to be in the All Ireland Semi Final with 6 consecutive wins on the spin.

Didn't always rate him but he was excellent yesterday, always took the right option and linked play, covered gaps and used the ball superbly. A big factor in us decimating Kilkenny in the middle third yesterday."
Finally bringing his Loughrea form to Galway jersey.

Probably played out of position too at no11. Even in midfield, his style is to do exactly what he was trying to do at no11, which is to get on ball a lot, influence the game a lot, and be the consumate playmaker at all times. He's probably getting more comfortable with the environment as times passes, but I'd also say that it's possibly easier to get on ball in a deep midfield role than it is typically at intercounty no11, and getting on the ball a lot is the key for Killeen, because his forte is to use it very well.

Agreed here on Killeen, i think he was finding it difficult to influence the game as much from the half forward line given the congestion there and between the 65s. He's not a massive physical presence despite his size and that was comign against him. Being a little deeper gives him breathing space and allows him also to time his runs into the middle and hit space. Another major factor though is I think Daniels coimpliments him very well, more dogged and direct. They could be a great combination going forward but I'm hopeful Daniels can continue his rise as a real engine for the team who can be paired with a more 'wristy hurler' as Cyril would say

Galway U20 were 3/10 yesterday.

Today we are 1/8.

Kilkenny have pulled Barcoe and inexplicably left O'Donovan on the bench.

They are throwing this game as the consequences of losing are not high.

Time to get stuck into the -6 handicap

Probably double it with Wexford -9 as Kildare surely won't be actively trying to keep the score down in a game they have to win, so we probably won't see them play with 2 sweepers again

Job done for the 20s. Very slow start but once we got on top our running game worked well. Got sloppy towards the end with a six point lead. Good to get the win without Niland playing and Rabbitte only having to come on in the second half. Kennedy at wing forward had a good game and Shaughnessy put over some nice scores.

They try to avoid repeat pairings in the u20 semi finals but it's almost definitely going to end up with three from one group getting through so no idea whether we would play Wexford or Kilkenny in a semi final. Possibly Kilkenny given Wexford finished ahead of them in the group?
