Not a great league surely but Leitrim not up to the challenge this year in particular. There were far better Leitrim outfits in the last 15 years that couldn't get the job done. 4 victories for Leitrim over 18 games in league and championship the past two years…and before someone says Sligo's isn't a whole lot better it's 9 in 21 at a higher division. Nothing worth getting excited about surely and a double digit beating awaits whoever plays Galway in Semi Final but there's a reason there's a 9 point handicap put on next Sunday.

What happened this mighty Fenagh team we've all been hearing about? Soh gave them a right beating today.

Those states don't really mean much as there is very little difference in standard in div 4 and the bottom half of div 3 which is where Sligo operate. Sligo is a div 4 team clinging on for dear life in div 3 but fair play you avoided the drop this year anyway but most likely a temporary reprieve from the basement.

We will see who is up to the challenge in due course, but you're right, whoever wins is facing a trimming from one of the big two in Galway on the next go anyway.

Calm down. Missing about 14 players but game should not have been played.

Missing a lot of players to county panels I've heard.

On par is not true. Sligo didnt finished 2nd last in Division 4 and Leitrim didnt stay up in Division 3 with three wins.

Wouldn't read much into the league especially as fenagh are missing 7 lads with county involvement, ballinamore have 4 I think and I'm sure both sides were missing other players with injuries or availability so both teams will be very different come championship, although 1 point over an hour of football is very concerning.

Replying To ohwow:  "What's it to you who I give credit to. It is plain to see there is a big two in Connacht going by senior titles won.

Here is some research for you, Galway have 51 provincial titles, Mayo has 47. All the rest are nowhere.

There's plenty of opportunity for you to praise your county on your own thread"
Of course there is a big two in Connacht thank you so much. The rest of us are lagging behind and always will please. To be fair Roscommon have been punching well above their weight for a few years but that will also level off soon thank you. We are nowhere near the big two tbh and we aren't even close to the other two. Thank you all.

Again let's review the stats….of just the past 10 years Sligo have been in Division 3 6 out of those 10…(2020-2023 in Division 4) Leitrim just 2 out of 10 and have never managed to retain their status in any division bar 4. We finished 5th in Division 3 this year and if you think the likes of Waterford, London etc are on a similar level to Clare, Fermanagh or other Div 3 teams then it's pure delusion. Sometimes facts are hard to take….but they remain that facts. Anything bar a Sligo 5/6 point win would be a huge disappointment from a Sligo perspective and probably considered a good show in Leitrim

Good to see you rightly praise the Rossies. We need Leitrim back too. Keep working hard. We love you peoples. Spirit of 95. Love the ball.
