Replying To Backheel:  "Very disappointing to hear of under 20s not committing. Perhaps it's a reflection of where society is at. In previous years very unusual to see any players not committing to a county underage squad panel. For what one would imagine would great fun and a sense of comraderie with other lads from around the county. Perhaps the carrot of playing intercounty football is out weighed by the sacrifice to other interests or education.
Best of luck to the lads in what ever their endeavours may be."
Disappointing to see quality players not committing. I see six u20's in the senior squad. Are they released back to the 20's at all for games.

Another great win for the "little hurlers" against Cavan, to get the week off to a good start.

Also, Antrim defeating Wicklow throws things wide open again. Who knows? Who knows?

Well done to the hurlers. The Antrim win is a help to us but we have it all to do tomorrow to get a result, I feel if longford could get a result tomorrow they will probably go up who'd have thought that after London.

why does Poacher constantly release fake teamsheets, does he think it gives us some sort of edge, i know it happens a lot nowadays, but its shocking frustrating.

Haven't been listening to the game but we're 10 points down at halftime. That's three games in a row now where we've been way behind at half time: 10 behind against London and 8 behind against Antrim. What's going on at all?

Tipp were in an All Ireland Semi V ourselves not many years ago, they are still a hard team to beat at home.

The glee after narrowly beating London is well and truly done. We were in fact lucky to win any games this year. It appears to be another washout.

I changed my predictions on here from a 3-point win (one score) to a 6-point win for Tipp when I heard that the fixture had been changed from Thurles to Clonmel, as Clonmel is a notoriously tough place for teams of a similar level to Tipp to go to and come away with anything. However, I did not foresee a double-digit hammering. Not good.

It is still a very interesting division for a neutral, as I believe that 5-6 of the teams are still mathematically in with a shout of promotion. The way the remaining matches are fixed, I predict Carlow and Longford to go up, and that's based on current form, too. But as we can see, anything could happen in this division. It's exciting, anyway.

He isn't. I was at it. But they lost a few players and slid down to D4 and it isn't leafy Donnybrook in this D4.
Meanwhile we, imbued with optimism at the start, have the princely figure of 4 points from a possible 10 and the minus column looks frightening.
The problem seems to be in defence, although fitness, defensive systems or lack thereof, s&c or taking possession into contact may be the issue.
In any event it's now fairly certain we'll be in this particular D4 another year.
There's the matter of the championship to come however. We'll give it a good rattle this year!!!

There's the alarm going off …….Grrr……

Leitrim have scored the least amount of points of the eight teams at this stage with 89 and have conceded one of the highest amounts. We are where we are for a reason.

Hardly a good thing for Leitrim seeing as it's what 15 years since Leitrim beat Sligo in League or Championship???
