Replying To Fighting-Cocks69: "Definitely - Kinnegad dethroned the All-mighty Mount Temple side and should now be regarded as clear favourites." Its hard to find fault with this logic. Any team who put the mighty Caulry to the sword deserves serious respect. Its no wonder they beat St Lomans. Their confidence must be sky high right now.

This caulry super team were so concerned with the all Ireland club championship that they took their eye off the ball and didn't realise they'd need to win the Westmeath championship first. There's always next year anyways, Make Mount Temple Great Again.

Replying To Captainfantastic: "Slim to none and slim is gone home!" No team ever has no chance in a final. Downs well deserved favourites from their body of work but Kinnegad are getting better as the year goes on.

Replying To gaelicgab: "Kinnegad not in the betting? I see finalists from other counties eg Tullamore & Ferbane in Offaly, Boden & Na Fianna in Dublin, Naas & Athy in Kildare. Disrespectful to Kinnegad." I just checked Paddy Power to see and they actually have Lomans priced at 20/1.
Those odds seem a bit short given Lomans chances of winning it

My stance maybe a bit controversial, i was in the stand both days saturday and sunday and sitting pretty close to the middle along with my nephew. The Miltownpass player struck out twice and got a deserved second yellow to be sent off, the supporters then jeered at him as any opposition support would do and his actions deserved jeering, but there was no direct foul singularity language that i heard, nothing you wouldnt hear at any game, the player obviously took this to heart and he incited the entire thing simple as and his selector who tryed to help initially made things worse. The game sunday the player who got hit should also should have been sent out for his involvement accoring to the rules, no sledging anymore, sent off because already on a yellow and continued to go at Kiernan as he was already sent off. I think any sub who was in the stand and came onto the pitch should also be punished, to run down a flight of steps and jump a gate to go onto a pitch to get involved in a shoving match should be cited, they werent running onto the pitch to stop a row or calm a situation. one of those was already red carded so will that player no miss the final for entering the field of play after a red card. County Board need to do a proper review of both games and if there was direct abuse to that miltownpass player found then them supporters should be banned also, but from my view i didnt hear anything abnormal but video evidence could be different.

Replying To Darragh: "Anyone have an idea on why the Junior 1 and 2 finals are fixed for the weekend of 1/2 November. Only seem to be Intermediate on Bank holiday Saturday and Minor and Senior on the day after" I heard last night the Junior final is on the 25th before Intermediate but nothing on the website except that they are playing a team from Europe in the Leinster JFC on 15th Nov

That would mean that 10-12 players from Shandonagh would be suspended for the county final? Not one sub behaved in a really bad manner, no punches thrown on videos, visually it wasn't a great look but majority of players seemed to be trying to prevent situation escalating. If what you're suggesting as punishment were to happen the club would be busy with appeals. What punishment would happen to Milltown? They're finished for the year.

PowellJohn3 is a Tubberclair man me thinks. Just had a look at past messages from him and they are very pro Tubberclair. County Board disciplinary decisions are not made on Hogan Stand my friend!!

Absolutely correct, The chairman can't be on the front pages talking about taking action and then decide to ignore this. Other red carded players also returned to the field, so if they really are looking at this like they say it'll be interesting are they willing to punish accordingly.

Can you explain how a supporter can be banned? I'm not in any way exonerating their actions but implementing a ban on supporters is impossible? Think about the practicalities. If the supporters arrives at a turnstile on final day how does the lad on the gate identify him? A supporter from say Tubberclair and the lad on the gate is from Ballycomoyle? Imagine stopping the wrong person entering?

Not sure myself to be honest but the website being updated would be handy to clear it up

On a more positive note there are some great fixtures to look forward to, fair play to Tyrrellspass getting to the Junior 2 but you wouldn't begrudge the sole junior club in St Paul's winning that one. A long wait in the Junior 1 for the clubs; hard call as I haven't seen much of Ballinagore but I do remember thinking St. Joseph's are quite light so the conditions there could play a big part. Intermediate is 1v2 from Section A; nothing to separate these teams on paper really and it's very 50/50. The senior is bound to be tight, Kinnegad will look to sit in and play on the counter you would think; their style might suit a one off game; however, were The Downs to get a run on them it's hard to see Kinnegad winning an open game.
In the U20 it's three years in a row that these Tubberclair and Mullingar sides have met in a final. The loss of Ryan Kelly may just give Tubberclair the edge.
