Maybe all those disappointed Cork and Limerick fans could go watch their football teams over the next few weekends? Seanfanbocht (Roscommon) - Posts: 2363 - 29/05/2025 12:57:17 2613432 Link 0 |
In fairness it's not too hard to get tickets for any football fixtures so far….

Or any hurling match not in Munster. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 8409 - 29/05/2025 18:33:34 2613499 Link 0 |
Not a chance. That would be real life and spoil his Walter Mitty persona.

Not a knockout match so not really a championship match… I don't waste money going to what can only be described as a challenge game… It won't start until something is on the line which is not this weekend…

Over 65,000 at the Leinster final and it was the best atmosphere of my life and also one of the best days. It's the biggest attendance at a Leinster final with no Dubs in the final. Ollie2 (Louth) - Posts: 1061 - 30/05/2025 12:42:05 2613605 Link 0 |
Full house at Ulster Final. Great atmosphere. Also a great crowd and tremendous atmosphere in Newbridge last Saturday. Fantastic crowd and atmosphere in Armagh on Wednesday evening. Result was not a true reflection of how good the game was. Will be a massive crowd in Breffni on Sunday, even if Walter Mitty is at home resting his vocals after his pretend trip to Croke Park on Saturday. We never had it so good.

Yes oillie. It's a pity not more games over 60k are in Croker. No the gaa would rather play the lenister hurling final there with 25k.

Up to 50,000 expected in Croke Park Sunday. Not bad for a sport which apparently doesn't attract many spectators! Seanfanbocht (Roscommon) - Posts: 2363 - 30/05/2025 16:59:04 2613658 Link 1 |
That's what you get when you get well supported counties like Fermanagh and Wexford playing there ;-)

And there will be 2000 in clones for Monaghan v Clare. Will you be there?

All Ireland champions v Dublin in Croke park for the Championship and you're wetting yourself because there will be 40/50k at it…? Would have attracted 70k a few years ago…and will later on if they meet when the game means something… You are paying far too much heed to that someone who prefers basketball to hurling which renders his views as irrelevant…

Upward trend since the thread started. I think the new rules are bedded in now. Exciting games bringing the crowds back. mesgegra77 (Kildare) - Posts: 8 - 31/05/2025 10:18:00 2613706 Link 0 |
Breaking News..... annoying man obsessed with football attendances continues to ignore hurling attendances. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 8409 - 31/05/2025 10:21:56 2613708 Link 1 |
Breaking Breaking news… Hurling attendance figures have improved year on year while football attendances had fallen through the floor.. Improving a good deal this year but could hardly get worse…
