Hard to predict a team this year. You wouldn't know what team they will pick. Not convinced of cunnane at wing back

Let's concentrate on who's in the panel and leave any conjecture, gossip etc till the season is over.

Well ya I thought no harm maybe in the league and getting a lot of different players game time but you'd have hoped we'd have a core 12- 13 players that have really nailed their place.

You would think we would have 12 nailed on but 7 changes from Galway to Kerry game is a big amount. Id like to see Ciaran Murtagh at 11.

It's as if we're using League, Provincial and 1st Group game as trial games!!

Just one change to the published starting 15 but won't be any surprise if another change or two is made before throw in. Four players that missed the Kerry game are named on the bench.

Conor Carroll (Oranmore/Maree)
Niall Higgins (Navan O'Mahony's)
Colm Neary (Strokestown)
David Murray (Padraig Pearses)
Ronan Daly (Padraig Pearses)
Brian Stack (St Brigids)
Senan Lambe (Roscommon Gaels)
Eddie Nolan (St Brigids)
Keith Doyle (St Dominics)
Dylan Ruane (Michael Glaveys)
Ciarain Murtagh (St Faithleachs)
Conor Hand (St Brigids)
Daire Cregg (Boyle)
Enda Smith (Boyle)
Ben O'Carroll (St Brigids)

Subs - Aaron Brady (Elphin) Robbie Dolan (St Brigids) Pearse Frost (St Brigids) Ruaidhri Fallon (St Brigids) Shane Cunnane (St Brigids) Diarmuid Murtagh (St Faithleachs) Donie Smith (Boyle) Cian McKeon (Boyle) Shane Killoran (Elphin) Declan Kenny (Padraig Pearses) Conor Cox (Eire Og) Ciaran Lennon (Clann na nGael)

Intensity and big work rate needed on Saturday and get stuck into Meath from one minute one until the final whistle, We need as many supporters get to this home game as possible. Best of luck to Roscommon in the Hyde on Saturday.

If the published team is to be taken at face value then only one change from the Kerry game, John Mc out and Neary in. Fallon and McKeon back in the panel on the bench. I'd love to see Fallon become a really dynamic middle third player. I think he has the potential and the attributes if he brings the necessary intensity.

Fallon brought too much intensity last Summer against Armagh and got sent off.! I agree he has potential. Has been good at rugby as well.

Hopefully they play like this, Murtagh is more creative there and can spot a pass. Even though i have nerver seen smith play there. I think if we can get fast play in to him he can do harm, play slow possession ball around the half forward line like against Kerry it will make things harder for our selves. We don't have physical players to be breaking tackles.

Abbey Hotel and Coachmans Inn do good bar food. Great Indian on the square beside Red Parrot if you like that. Regans and Gleesons on the square nice sit down restaurant places. Rogue on Main street good food during the day but will be closed after the match. Anywhere in front of the Mart and along by Sean Doyle windows is usually good.
Enjoy the trip down!

Lots of places to eat in Roscommon. Four places close to each other in the center of town are Jacksons Restaurant, Gleesons, Regans and Rogue & Co. ( Several other places)
The best parking spots will depend on what direction you approach Roscommon town from and if you want a relatively fast get away. If you are coming via Mulli gar and Lanesborough the Tesco Car Park ( via the mart road) or parking near Superman's might be an option. The Hyde is within walking distance of the town center like Navan. If you are coming via Athlone a lot of people park on the main road but you would want to be down early to get a spot near the pitch and walk into town for your meal. Harlows is a good place for a pint beside Jacksons restaurant and Down the Hatch is a small GAA pub that might get busy.
May the best team win. Hopefully the Rossies!
