Do you have a television to watch the matches or do you listen to them on the wireless?"
I even have a thing called a computer, might not have made it to your parts yet. I'll stick to whatever I want thanks.

What did I say that was incorrect? The ball spends most of the time out of play

Ita the biggest pro sport in country with top players playing at home and doing well."
No it's not. The League of ireland has larger attendances than Irish club rugby.

I recall in a challenge game against New Zealand last year the lad with the ponytail kicked a ball out for a sideline cut and started waving his arms and them getting hockeyed. Hilarious really to be celebrating booting the ball out and giving the opposition the possession back especially when they were getting hammered."
A sideline cut!

Explain it to us then? Rugby fans are very fast to tell everyone how they don't know anything about it yet will never explain what they mean.

It's mad that sports are different. In GAA and soccer everyone is trying to hit the net but I was watching tennis recently and they kept missing the net over and over and over again. Embarrassing stuff!! Scarlet for Federer et al

They're very thin skinned about their sport not being that skilful even if you compliment it by saying it is watchable.

Oh right. You in time warp?? Federer retired in 2022. So don't know why he'd be scarlet etc as he's not even playing no more

Club rugby isn't professional.

Yes. It's stop start. Doesn't have the flow to it like Hurling, Gaelic Football, Soccer, Basketball etc.

It's not one bit skilful. Lads barging into each other and then fall into a heap on the ground. They then throw it back to some lad who will either repeat the thing and barge into another lad or he will kick it over the sideline or drive it up in the air and hope the other buck doesn't catch it. If they do kick it over the sideline they throw it in and a few lads have to lift up another buck to catch it. If that passes as skilful I give up.

I hear you. There's some skills involved. Basketball has less skill for me and I played Gaelic Football, Rugby, Soccer, Basketball. Bounce, bounce, bounce, throw or shoot. Not much variety in scoring. Dreadful to watch usually. A tight game you can switch it off until the last two minutes. But I'd say going to an NBA game would be a great buzz. One thing for rugby though, it'll give slow stocky lads or big second row lads a chance at sport where they'd be out of place in Gaelic Games. I played rugby against Pete Finnerty before. That man could excel at any sport. Rugby a better game to be at than watch on TV, hearing the hits from the collisions. But not the skills of Hurling, Gaelic Football or Soccer.

League of Ireland has less crowds than professional interprovincial teams rugby. Probably horse racing is our most popularly attended sport?

Over a million went to league of Ireland games last year. How many went to rugby games involving Irish provinces only? The South African teams skew the urc competition attendances and I'd bet the French teams skew the european rugby ones. There was nearly as many people at the league of Ireland opening game as Leinster's semi final they filled the togs in.

You should make your way down to your local rugby club and prove your point. It's too late for the Lions but by the sounds of it you'll be in the running for the 6 nations. Or are you one of these lads that find lots of excuses not to play it for a different reason?

You obviously know very little about tennis and you certainly weren't watching it if you watch federer. You should be scarlet for yourself not him.
