Thought the same myself! Said a wee prayer to myself that it wasn't a Cavan poster asking! It was €15 into the Cavan final yesterday - that included minor and senior final. Attendance was approx 8500. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5251 - 10/10/2016 14:47:07 1924553 Link 3 |
How much did they charge you out the gates again though? ;-)

County boards are taking the p155 right across the country as most club players have to twiddle their thumbs or go to other sports whilst the "county team" are involved in competition and then expect these same players and supporters to dig deep and follow "the county" then when " the county" are eliminated they squeeze the games in and squeeze the supporters to the max £££sss they think they can get away with. Then they wonder why some clubs are struggling to field or amalgamating or worse folding. Locally all the soccer / rugby and hockey men and women can advertise a complete fixture list for all their teams before a ball is touched so at least players and supporters know exactly when and where any club team will be playing on any given date. For an organisation the size of the GAA who purport to be the life blood of the community, their fixture schedules leave a lot to be desired. bulmccabe (Tyrone) - Posts: 361 - 10/10/2016 16:04:08 1924587 Link 1 |

I'm relatively new here, is Tom tight?!! I remember reading a post about himself and his Missus and how they conduct things at home and it was hilarious! Laois76 (Laois) - Posts: 1270 - 12/10/2016 23:49:08 1925573 Link 0 |

20 quid for a county final is outlandish and puts many neutrals off going to the game. Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 13/10/2016 11:18:33 1925643 Link 0 |
Toms not tight, just careful!

In Cavan it was €15 into the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Finals and for the Senior Final €20 for admission into the covered stand, there are replays of the Intermediate and Senior Finals this Saturday night and Sunday respectively with the same charge as the original fixtures. Cavan County Board participated in The Club + Season Ticket Scheme for 2016 but they have withdrawn this option for 2017 the G.A.A. added The Club + option to your Season Ticket to reward loyalty as the County Season Ticket already does. Cavan County Board participated in 2016 but now they have withdrawn for 2017 I wonder what were their reasons as far as I am aware most counties are participating. Croke Park should make it compulsory for every county to offer the Club + along with The Season each County Board gets €100 up front at the beginning of the season. Is this not enough for Cavan County Board or what are the reasons for pulling out. Breffnisbest (Cavan) - Posts: 474 - 13/10/2016 11:33:59 1925652 Link 0 |
Personally I think a tenner is plenty for a club county final, fair price. Any more is a bit much for club games Bon (Kildare) - Posts: 2332 - 13/10/2016 17:29:17 1925844 Link 0 |

I'm lower middle class...maybe I have more money than most people here because I don't think 20 euro is excessive for a county final. It's enough but not too much. PoolSturgeon (Galway) - Posts: 2020 - 14/10/2016 11:28:16 1926150 Link 0 |
