The "can be used for concerts" line is ridiculous really. Every ground thats done up claims they can recoup the costs by hosting concerts. Can I ask what acts people have in mind when they picture concerts in Cork/any other stadium? Ireland is a tiny market in music terms (Garth Brooks aside), so major artists play in one place: Dublin. There's the odd concert in Cork, but absolutely none in the 50'000 range. CastleBravo (Meath) - Posts: 1677 - 11/12/2014 21:20:03 1678137 Link 0 |
castlebravo, Brucie played there last year. I'm sure with a done up stadium they will find it easier to get more. Jack_Goff (Meath) - Posts: 2920 - 12/12/2014 15:59:53 1678287 Link 0 |

Jack bruce plays the Rds with a about 15k capacity so he does not need 45k, you are going to sell more tickets if you play in Dublin. Thurles is a better location for the hurling qfs and that only half fills. The only possible football quarter final puc would be a neutral venue if Tipp and Kerry got drawn against each other and puc would be less then half full. The all semi's have to be played in croker for the premium ticket holders. A 25k stadium would be more then enough for Cork ros1 (Roscommon) - Posts: 1211 - 12/12/2014 19:56:53 1678325 Link 0 |
There is a senior minster, 3 juniors and 9 government backbenchers in Cork many of who are in danger of losing there seats that is the reason puc got all the government money ros1 (Roscommon) - Posts: 1211 - 12/12/2014 20:00:28 1678326 Link 0 |
