Hi realdub I'd say your starting to get interested in it :-) I bet ye will all be watching it when the game comes around.

Fat chance, I'd rather watch a game from Blighty!

You can't find a panel because it has not been whittled down yet

Ross Munnlley for one...You would be as wise having me on the pitch if the aussies decide to get physical

Paul Early must think there are no decent players in Cavan!!! Cant see too many fans from Breffni bothering to go now. Surely David Givney, Killian Clarke or Cian Mackey deserved to get a shot in their home grounds!!

+1

Jack McCaffrey and Conor McManus are hardly primed for taking big hits either if the Aussies bring their brawn.

gotmilk - have to agree. What on earth is Munnelly doing there!!

And maybe I am missing something but why nobody from Kerry?

There are trials for this panel. If players didnt make it then most likely they didnt choose to attend the trials or they werent good enough.
I know there are a few surprises on the team but out of the Cavan selection Givney is the only one id have picked and then look at the forwards already.
Im surprised there arent more of the AFL players selected

there would have been 3 kerry players but they are unavailable club commitments and taking a break

I would never normally wish injury on any player but I'm kinda hoping Paul Flynn, Ciaran Kilkenny and Jack McCaffrey develop slight twinges before these games/events...

Id say the kerry lads opted out.

Two omissions that surprise me are donal vaughan - who is tailor made for this game, and Pearse Hanley - the best performing irishman in Oz and a top quality footballer. No frank mcglynn either, or cian o'sullivan. Adaptable player like those lads always do well.

Surprised Niall Morgan is going, and Johnny Doyle for that matter. You would think they would be wrapped up in cotton wool.
