Not sure if anyone did the double as it must be remembered that it is possible to do the double in last 5 years (2009 on) as up until then there was only one minor competition pressure from Clubs brought about the change.

Minor Division 1 Winners
2009 Championship Dunshaughlin League Ratoath
2010 Championship OMahonys League Ratoath
2011 Chapmionship Ratoath League Simonstown
2012 Championship Ratoath League Dunboyne/Kilbride
2013 Championship Don/Ash League Don/Ash

So indeed Glen you are right it has only been possible in last 5 years and Donaghmore are the 1st Double Winners of Meath Minor Div 1 Championship and Div 1 League.

In last Sunday's Minor Final (Dunboyne V Don/Ash)

Who was "Man of the Match"?

Dunboyne had a couple of good contenders ie Comeskey & Lavin

Ash had a few also ie, Mcgoverns, Brady & Murtagh.

donan dusted you must have been at a different game to the rest of us, Comaskey was marked out of the game not scoring and generally not getting on much ball. The only two contenders are ashbourne's Cian Field or Darragh McGovern.

Dona

You are right, Cian Field kept Dunboyne at bay, with two point blank saves in the first half!

I was just looking for people's opinion?

Trim v Killary Emmets - Slightly favour the trim side. If they can keep the ruthless Daire Rowe to a minimum they should fade it. Cullen, Purcell and Burke are trims main threat.

Yes Mr Meathgaaman . I was also at div 2 Final .Great game of Football between two very good teams And as for Man of Match i was very impressed with James Cullen at midfield and Daire Lynch in the Forwards for Trim and Daire Rowe for Killary Emmets . And i must say the Referee M.Griffin did a very good job on the night . What do you readers think .

Am I correct in saying that Dun/Ash were the only Meath team to win the Leinster minor championship (2008)?

Unfortunately there is no proper Leinster Minor Championship run by Leinster Council.

A Carlow club runs a tournament where they invite county champions. All matches are played in Carlow with Carlow Referees etc. Not a genuine championship properly run by Provincial council with neutral referees/venues etc.

Didn't knwo there was a Leinster event. Are Don/Ash in it? I assume most counties have completed their minor championships well in advance of ours and we have no team in it
