That post there has to be a wind up? The two twins and deegan for Don/ash are better than anything dunboyne have. Dunboyne have a consistently strong team and good subs while Ashbourne have a few notable weak points but better individuals. Juggernaut (USA) - Posts: 110 - 12/11/2013 19:39:56 1512838 Link 0 |
As I said, Deegan and Byrne have a strong argument. There is no doubting the talent on both sides, that's not what I'm getting at. What I'm saying is that player for player Dunboyne certainly have the edge in the majority of battles on the pitch. Karamalbasha (Meath) - Posts: 8 - 12/11/2013 19:51:12 1512848 Link 0 |
Il tell you now far more than Deegan and Byrne have a strong argument. Nothing between these teams on paper. Juggernaut (USA) - Posts: 110 - 12/11/2013 20:24:51 1512872 Link 0 |
In my opinion, the two twins are without a doubt the best players for Ashbourne. They are both very consistent and they will make it very difficult for their marker to get the better of them. Handontheback (Meath) - Posts: 44 - 13/11/2013 12:47:11 1513091 Link 0 |
Division 1: One thing we can be certain of is it will be a thriller. Ashbourne won already this year and dunboyne will be looking for revenge. On the day I think ashbourne could scrape it, but it will be a 2 point game at most. EveryPointCount (Meath) - Posts: 6 - 13/11/2013 13:07:24 1513105 Link 0 |
Dunboyne vs Asbourne should be a serious game.Personally I tip Dunboyne just to nick it.Rumour is tha Liam Kane is making a return to football just for the final? If true,Hes a serious addition to the Dunboyne panel and could make a huge difference. The key players on either team I think will be Byrne, Deegan and the McGoverns for Don/Ash and Lavin, Creevey, McGrath and Towey for dunboyne. These lads will decide where the cup is going on Sunday Meathgaa5 (Meath) - Posts: 339 - 13/11/2013 19:01:53 1513289 Link 0 |

That's good news for Dunboyne about Liam Kane. I understand he was away playing soccer at a high level in England for a short time? Could someone from Dunboyne perhaps confirm or refute this rumour for me please? TheGableEnd (Meath) - Posts: 8 - 14/11/2013 13:14:54 1513479 Link 0 |
I know he was away playing soccer in England anyway, not 100% sure if hes playing football again now that hes home though Meathgaa5 (Meath) - Posts: 339 - 14/11/2013 15:59:30 1513551 Link 0 |
Liam is actually struggling with a thigh injury at the minute as far as I know. Would be very interesting to see him play after his absence. Karamalbasha (Meath) - Posts: 8 - 14/11/2013 19:09:55 1513618 Link 0 |
That's a pity. Him and young Towey would be quite an exciting partnership, linking up together in the forwards. It's still going to be a great game Meathgaa5 (Meath) - Posts: 339 - 15/11/2013 10:03:52 1513700 Link 0 |

Tones won by 5, should've been a lot more! Completely outclassed Rathkenny! Haas (Meath) - Posts: 25 - 16/11/2013 17:55:20 1514098 Link 0 |

Ashbourne are 2013 minor league and championship winners. pat_custard (Meath) - Posts: 125 - 17/11/2013 17:36:30 1514406 Link 0 |
Ash really turned it on in the last 15. They had the stronger subs bringing on 23 and 18 who both made big impacts in all 3 goals. Dunboyne played all the football for 45 minutes but didn't establish the lead they should have. That was the losing of the game from their perspective. The hurt of last year surely drove ash on also. Dunboyne may well be back to win it next year. Congrats too ash. Juggernaut (USA) - Posts: 110 - 17/11/2013 18:34:14 1514441 Link 0 |
