PlKnow from experience that they're both very good teams. Not much between them but think na fianna might just shade it. Nice to see some new blood makin the business end greatwhitedope (Meath) - Posts: 50 - 02/09/2013 20:59:49 1473565 Link 0 |
Moynalvey will derail the Na Fianna express Crawley_JuniorD (Meath) - Posts: 211 - 02/09/2013 21:17:01 1473595 Link 0 |
No i wouldn't write off Na Fianna at all, But having seen them twice in the last few weeks incl the SFC match V Tones, i dont think Tones could be as bad again and seen as they have reverted back to playing football as opposed to what went on that night i feel Tones experience will tell, Na fianna have been a breath of fresh air and play good open attractive football but i think its a bit soon yet to make the big breakthrough, Moynalvey will not stop na fianna in my opinion Analyst (Meath) - Posts: 1508 - 03/09/2013 09:28:00 1473691 Link 0 |
when will the senior Q final fixtures be up with times dates and venues? aces (Meath) - Posts: 162 - 03/09/2013 15:25:59 1474197 Link 0 |
Second year in row the tones seem to have an easy route to the final. Cant see Skyrne, Senechelstown or Rathkenny causing them any trouble. I expect a repeat of last years final, O'Mahonys vs Tones with the Navan men to cruise to victory once again. meath881988 (Meath) - Posts: 45 - 04/09/2013 15:01:23 1475075 Link 0 |
Does anybody know the proposed semi final pairings? jackhackett (Meath) - Posts: 773 - 04/09/2013 15:51:31 1475128 Link 0 |
Jackhacket you are correct, Tones V Na Fianna will be interesting with O Mahoneys to cruise to another title, No point in repeating my self but when you see Seneschalstown, Rathkenny, Moynalvey & Skryne in Senior Q finals it only backs up the fact of how poor football is in this county. Before you fly of the handle i mean that O mahoneys would beat any of these teams without getting out of third gear and as i said before the hoops are a very average side, by that i mean that the Seneschalstown or Tones teams of 3-7 years ago would easily beat this current team Analyst (Meath) - Posts: 1508 - 04/09/2013 17:12:38 1475207 Link 0 |
I think Tones extremely defensive team and can be easily opened up by fast forwards which Moynalvy and na Fianna have , Na Fianna in fial versus NOM magic1 (Offaly) - Posts: 14 - 04/09/2013 17:41:32 1475233 Link 0 |
If I was a Na Fianna player I wouldn't get too carried away by the victories so far. Simonstown for example were very naive in the way they defended against the wind in the first half and the game was over at half time. Na Fianna are a good team that play good attacking football but I think there defense will not hold up against the better teams while their attack will be suffocated if the proper defensive tactics are employed. Im gonna go for a NOM -v- NA Fianna final in senior and Ratoath -v- Clan NA Gael in the Intermediate ratlag (Meath) - Posts: 585 - 10/09/2013 11:30:46 1479018 Link 0 |
Senior is tough one to call, NOM are out in front but with a bit of luck I think we can take them, we would be one of the few teams left who wouldnt have any fear of NOM or Tones, In the Inter , I think it will be Cilles V Cilles, Kells are V Strong and I dont think Ratoath will be physically able to for them and Graham Reilly is on fire and no inter defender can stop him, Only way is to cut off supply , Junior is Kilmainhams to lose summerhillof69 (Meath) - Posts: 228 - 10/09/2013 12:16:37 1479066 Link 0 |
I think Cortown, Drumbaragh and Kilmainham all have a decent chance at the junior Meathmaster (Meath) - Posts: 251 - 10/09/2013 14:23:59 1479208 Link 0 |

Right biggest weekend of Football in the County this year, Dreams smashed Hopes Risen, Women and even men may shed a tear or two Cuts and bruises swatted away like an annoying fly as the GAA men from the Clubs the real Football teams hit the knock out stages, Walk overs a thing of the past (We hope) and away we go. glenny (Meath) - Posts: 1119 - 13/09/2013 12:19:27 1481369 Link 0 |
I think its between na fianna, summerhill, nom and seneschalstown for the title! Summerhill looking very sharp after last performance and nom will surely be there, there abouts! footballmadness (Meath) - Posts: 18 - 13/09/2013 15:32:58 1481578 Link 0 |
You are playing it safe there with those selections, I think it will be one of O mahoneys, Summerhill, rathkenny, seneschalstow, Tones, Skryne, Na fianna or Moynalvey for outright honours...... cowardlyasafox (Meath) - Posts: 209 - 13/09/2013 15:52:13 1481601 Link 0 |
