Predictions For This Weekends JFC, IFC, SFC Games

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Thanks lurch. Pretty happy with the Friday games also. Some great calla by me on Ultans and Pats winning. Don/Ash let me down in what was always going to be a tight one and Dunderry loseing to Clann na nGael is another shock but 6 out of 8 and a 80% success rate so far aint too shabby

Saturday brings 10 more orgasmic clashes Hard to bate the gaa for the like of it
SFC
Nobber v Seneschalstown, Carlanstown, 6pm,
Tight Carlanstown pitch will make it difficult for the Yellow Furze Nobber have nothing to lose but nothing to gain either. They already planning for Relegation playoff so Sheridansville to triumph

Moynalvey v Duleek/Bellewstown, Dunshaughlin, 6pm
Probably the clash of the round neither will figure when the medals are been handed out but this should be a mighty tough tussel. Moynalvey bouyed up by the mid week win will leave Graham Geraghty with only Athboy to be conserned about. Moynalvey to win.

O'Mahonys v Walterstown, Pairc Tailteann, 6pm,
Walterstown gone OMahonys to have it handy

IFC
Longwood v St Colmcille's, Dunsany, 6pm, Ref Patrick Coyle
I predict a walkover for the Cills as Longwood concentrate on Hurling
Gaeil Colmcille v Donaghmore/Ashbourne, Pairc Tailteann, 4.30pm, .. The will be a tough call Don/Ash have lots of players Kells are a good side and could be the biggest obsticale to stop Ratoath and just might have enough here
JFC
Dunshaughlin v Cortown, Bective,
Cortown will want to top the group to avoid Kilmainham but will struggle here The tight Bective pitch is worth a few points to them and that will do them in the end.

St Brigid's v Trim, Athboy, 6pm, Ref Marcus Quinn
Brigids need to win by 16 points and hope Cortown win. They will win but 16 is a big number and dont think they will reach that target. Brigids to win and Clonard to get 2nd spot.

JFC 'C' quarter-finals
Na Fianna v Dunsany, Trim, 4.30pm,
God knows Na Fianna club going well so I will go for them
Dunboyne v Rathkenny, Trim, 6pm, Ref Gerry Skelly
Dunboyne by a good bit
JFC 'D' quarter-final
Clann na nGael v Clonard, Boardsmill, 6pm, Ref Shane Mooney
The Athboy lads should pull through

Re: Glenny.
Just out of interest, by what thought process can you come to the conclusion that Clan na nGael beating Dunderry was a shock. Anyone from Dunderry or Clann na Ngael knew the odd point would be the difference but still you along with others weren't giving Clan na nGael a a chance. I'd just be interested to know how you come up with these predictions.

Donaghmore-Ashbourne - Andy Colgan; Cormac McGill, Sean Curran, JP Casserly; Conor Carton,Shane Melia, Eoin Reilly; Ciaran Ellis, Bryan Menton, Andrew Tormey (0-9, 7fs); Cathal Field, Eric Callaghan, John Broderick (0-1); Ciaran Beirne , David Morgan , Michael Deegan. Subs - Tony Morgan for Deegan (18), Aidan Hughes for Beirne, Deegan for T Morgan (57), Rory O'Connor for Broderick (58).

so ashbourne played with 16 men and still couldnt win.

Jumping the Gun a bit but a lad has to get out for a few brews ans a bit of mass on a Saturday evening after the bit of a wash and a change of socks and jocks
SFC
Wolfe Tones v Dunboyne, Ashbourne, 6pm,
This will be some game all to play for and maybe just maybe Tones great years are over starting here Dunboyne for me

Dunshaughlin v Blackhall Gaels, Pairc Tailteann, 6pm,
Good local derby don't write Blackhall off just yet should they win Dunshaughlin will go into relegation quagmire. Blackhall probably have not enough ammo so Dunshaughlin to sneak it.

Simonstown v Na Fianna, Trim, 6pm,
I have a feeling that Simonstown might win don't know why they not great but think Na Fianna playing a bit above themselves maybe Simonstown to win but Na Fianna to slip into quarters
JFC
Drumbaragh v Skryne, Athboy, 6pm,
Easy for the Champions elect Drumbaragh
O'Mahonys v Bective, Walterstown, 6pm,
All or nothing these clashed a lot in Junior lately OMahonys I'm afraid to win. Hope not as I like the real Junior Clubs to progress but think not this time.

JFC 'B'
St Mary's v Slane, Seneschalstown, 12pm,
Marys in a canter as Slane slip close to Junior C
Gaeil Colmcille v St Paul's, Kilberry, 12pm
Tie of the day in Junior B winner take all Kells to beat Dads army
Moynalty v Ratoath, Rathkenny, 12pm,
Moynalty to win and quailify
Dunderry v Seneschalstown, Brews Hill, 12pm,
Seneschalstwon to keep all 3 teams from the club going
St Colmcille's v Walterstown, Duleek, 12pm,
Dont know don't care Maybe the Cills
Nobber v Boardsmill, Martry
Boardsmill by a country mile
Wolfe Tones v St Vincent's, Kilmessan, 11.00
Vincents to knock the Tones out

JFC 'C' quarter-finals
Simonstown v O'Mahonys, Bective, 12pm, Ref Conor Martin
Interesting two 3rd teams Simonstown not going well in Junior A and may win here
Blackhall Gaels v Cortown, Dunsany, 12pm,
Blackhall or Cortwon, Cortown or Blackhall both will have used a lot of lads maybe Blackhall

JFC 'D' quarter-finals
Donaghmore/Ashbourne v Longwood, Summerhill,
Longwood pulled their Intermediate team to concentrate on this. It may back fire Don/Ash to beat them
Kilmainhamwood v Carnaross, Kilmainham, 12pm,
Kwoods Keegan Cup winners of 17 years ago to pull them tru.

Good night last night the sermom went on a bit though 8 i am giving myself out of 10 with the Cortown v Dunshaughlin draw and Athboy losing in Junior D

Just on the Dunderry v Clann nagael. I would have felt it would be close as any derby can be but Athboy had a poor League run and while so also did Dunderry in my mins Dunderry would be seen as favourites but even the Great Glenny can be wrong.

any of these four teams have a great chance of making it to the final Moynalvey, Na Fianna

I thought at the start of the year that Ashbourne were the biggest threat to O Mahonys, but I see that they are now out. What happened to them this year ?

You're writing off NA FIANNA a little bit too early in my opinion, they have wiped the floor with most teams this year, league or championship! and with danny queeney, downey and lewis coming back from injury, they are only getting stronger
