I see the chronicles preview of the senior is a mile off the mark again. They have it that only 2 teams qualify from group c totally wrong 3 teams go through from each group with the third place in b + C playing in a preliminary quarter final.

Here we go squeaky bum time as its Round 4 of all the major Football Championship, Clubs will make a move in one direction or another not a time for rash predictions so we must put great taught into what we say. As always having studied the form over countless hours the Great Glenny now will give predictions for tonight and Friday

IFC St Ultan's v Carnaross 19:00 Kilmainham Liam O Brien
Good local battle in the neat Kilmainham grounds. Neither side have a hope of winning anything but Ultans with a few good young lads will dish out a narrow defeat to Carnaross. Both sides are poor but Ultans have a future, Carnaross be back Junior before too long

JFC
Skryne v Navan O Mahony's 19:00 Dunderry Gus Martyn
Two Senior sides 2nd teams face up Skryne really are a mid table team but O'Mahonys with their bigger player numbers have designs on quailification. They will win and may quailify

Ideal Bathrooms JFC B
St Vincent's v Nobber 20.00 Donore Brendan O'Brien
Nobber won Junior C last year but have a good few lads gone away or promoted to the Senior side. Vincents too are missing players but are a decent Junior B club and will win here

Friday 16 August

Hoganstand.com SFC
Duleek-Bellewstown v Nobber 19:00 Castletown Colm Mc Manus
Bottom of the table clash, Duleek should preveil but Nobber are a proud club and will fight for everything they put it up to OMahonys but lost out and should be a similiar result here. Narrow win for Duleek

Oldcastle v Donaghmore/Ashbourne 19:00 Simonstown Richard Morris
Donaghmore are very poor by there own standards this year they seem to be missing the influance of Andy McEntee and Sean Kelly from last few tears and are not going well at all. They have slipped back a bit to the soft club that could not win the Intermediate for years untill McEntee sorted them out. Oldcastle will be typical Oldcastle and will give 110% but I cant see that being enough. Ashbourne to win

Rathkenny v Skryne 19:00 Dunshaughlin David Coldrick
As I stated before Rathkenny must have hated the beak as they where flying. The break will have affected them and they will do well to get back into that form. Skryne will beat them.

Seamus Connolly JFC B
St Patrick's v Dunderry 19:00 Walterstown Ollie Cassidy
Dunderry are in the hunt and will continue in that vein for a little longer

St Colmcilles v Seneschalstown in Stalmullen
Seneschalstown shoud be good enogh to win this East Meath clash

Yes the Great Glenny is really on fire but for Rathkenny fair play to them should have bet Skryne but for the back dropping the ball into the net. A worry is the very bad injury to the brillant Brian Meade who had a fine game hope its not his cruitate.

I think I'll award myself 7.5 out of 8 so far.

Now for Saturday games

St Patrick's v Summerhill 19.00 Walterstown David Gough
Hard one to call I like the Pats but they tend to fall in a heap when you least expect it. Summerhill have a lot of injuries but wont lie down if the Pats win the group it nearly sown up with them Rathkenny tru with Don/Ash and Skryne looking for the last spot. Pats dont like easy so I expect Summerhill to win.

Na Fianna v Wolfe Tones 19:00 Trim Patrick Nelis
Another really hard one to call Na Fianna are a nice team young fit Tones have age and experince on their side as I said before they are a wily ole bunch Na Fianna like Trim Cian Ward is due a good game, The wily ole boys may not be wily enough Youth and freshness to win and Na Fianna it is with a very hesident vote

Meade Potato IFC
St Colmcille's v Trim 19:00 Ratoath Patrick Coyle
Time for the Cilles to stand up and I think they will here as Trim have little to play for

Ballinabrackey v Ballinlough 19:00 Kildalkey
Not much noise from the Bracks they had a poorish League campagin in Div 3 Ballinlough had a poor Div 2 think Bracky will get the 2 points

Donaghmore/Ashbourne v Longwood 17.30 Trim Ratoath Seamus O Connor
Janey the dont get easy do they Ashbourne won the last day Longwood have no win they will get one here

Teach na Teamrach JFC
Trim v Dunshaughlin 17:30 Ratoath Ciaran Flynn
Dunshaughlin to win

Cortown v Clonard 17:30 Athboy Marcus Quinn
Big game Clonard need to win Cortown unbeaten Clonard be sad and Cortown to stay unbeaten

Drumconrath v Kilmainham 19:00 Moynalty Joe Curley
Drumconrath have surprised many but wont surprise Kilmainhamham Micky Newman to light up the Moynalty night sky

Moylagh v Kilbride 19:00 Bective Gerry O Brien
Two bad teams God knows, If Moylagh win they back in with a chance loser will face the relegation that be enough to spice it up, Kilbride won the relegation playoff last year and while I'm not sure but I have a feeling they might do so again
