The top 3 teams in the three groups will qualify for the knock-out stages. They have already pre-determined the preliminary QF will be 3rd team in Group B v 3rd team in Group C. The QF line up will then be Game 1 (A1 v Winners Prelim QF) Game 2 (B1 v C2) Game 3 (C1 v A3) Game 4 (B2 v A2). Semi-Finals will then be
Winners 1 v Winners 4 and Winners 2 v Winners 3. There you go clear as mud.

Is there an extra team in group A or are they just getting a lucky draw and an easier passage to the quaters?

I heard Ashbourne's main players from the junior final last year were involved in the first round of the senior championship ruling them out of intermediate this year! Might see Ashbourne being relegated this year

Thanks for that Greenwood, I doubt Ashbourne will be releigated but won't be near winning the Intermediate championship. I reckon Ballinabracky will win it, strong squad with damien carroll and danny quinn to lead them.

The Intermediate Championship comprises of 3 groups. Group A has 6 teams and Groups B & C have 5 teams. The top team in group A will go straight into a semi final while the 2nd and 3rd place teams in Group A along with the top 2 teams in Groups B & C will also reach the knockout stages.

From comparing Don/Ash's JFC final team to the team that played against St. Pat's, it looks like three of the players from last years Junior team played on Saturday: Rory O'Connor, Tony Morgan and Matthew Devine. Devine will be a huge loss for the Intermediate team as he was their scorer in chief in the Junior championship (scored 20 points in the knockout stages alone).

Yeah. I didn't notice anything but Brendan Cummins was on the radio when I got into the car and said it was a hamstring injury but could have been a precaution.

Oh yes very much on song today vry very much Glenny the great and good
SFC
Summerhill v Rathkenny; Summerhil to win maybe not by a lot Rathkenny hard to score against.
Walterstown v Duleek-Bellewstown; Feel Walterstown to go 2 from 2 but improving Duleek to test them

Teach na Teamhrach JFC
O'Mahonys v Drumbaragh; This will be a tight close game they met in Round 1 last year also and I think Drumbaragh edged it and perhaps they will do so again Mark ward may tog out for Navan.
Simonstown v Summerhill; This is another tight call the win Summerhill got last week will set them up but Simonstown will be in the pot for honours come October they can win here
Moylagh v Dunsany. Word from Dunsany is that they missing a lot from last year Moylagh not over burdened with numbers either, Willie McGrath is available but word is he be away soon. Moylagh where in relegation trouble last year but cant see that this year, Heart says Moylagh but Dunsany might nick it.

Seamus Connolly sponsors JFC B
Donaghmore/Ashbourne v Nobber; Ashbourne big playing numbers could win out.
St. Colmcille's v Dunderry; Maybe Colmcilles maybe Dunderry I go for the Dunderry boys
Moynalvey v Seneschalstown; Moynalvey used lot of players needlessly on Friday as they never looked to have a chance v OMahonys, that will haunt them at this level so Senesch to win
