wrong again glenny Ratoath v Castletown nervous start for ratoath new to IFC some sloppy defending flattered castletown on scoreboard ratoath too good in this contest kicked alot of wides still won going away couple of good players on castletown team but most only wanted to play intimidation game and a few lucky to stay on the pitch, this win will settle Ratoath and hopfully they will have gained valuable experience from this.

Not really a surprise ratoath beating castletown. Castletown team very slow knew ratoath would have too much pace for them

Curragha could only manage a draw against possibly Skryne's worst junior team in there history. That does not bode well for them for the rest of the group games especially with games against the big teams like bective and drumbaragh. I would suspect they will be absolutely destroyed against both those teams. It's amazing how far back they have gone since 2011 when they reached the championship semi final.

Bad loss for Duleek/Bellewstown , still expect them to have a good run to survive when the soccer season ends ....

Missing plenty of players ......

Well done Bective , great team despite possibly losing players to O'Mahonys , am i right Darragh Smyth left yous ?

Some strange results this weekend in all grades!
Na Fianna had a terrific win, as did Ratoath, Skryne and Rathkenny. I wasnt surprised with Dunderrys win or Saint Michaels win. Kells find them in an uncomfortable game next against Trim, win or bust at this early stage. Colmcilles are the Intermediate sleeping giants and at any stage can put up an impressive performance. The problem is they need to waken, too many times in the past they have been caught out.
In the senior, Ashbourne have sole searching to do. The championship is wide open again!

Sorry Awol67 .....

The seniors drew 7 all with Senescalstown correct
The juniors lost 3-11 to 0-03 to Bective in Junior A ....

They have a junior C on Saturday in Dunsany , fair play if they fill a third team ....
Great to see a team fielding players , competitively or not , during these tough times , even the minors have made the step up to Senior , and starting , despite only being a division 4 team ...

Fair play to Na Fianna beating Dunboyne was a good match I was surprised with the winners the 2 goals were got at the right time in particular Queeneys, id expect them to beat BlackHall next which will set them up nicely but u wouldnt know what could happen in this championship.

Really not surprised to see Na Fianna do well.. they are as good as the majority of senior teams and the best team to come up from intermediate in a few years anyway

ratoath now 4-1 favourites for intermediate. surely a bit of an overreaction after beating an average castletown team?

St. Colmcilles have also gone from 12/1 to 5/1, guesswork.

4 -1 on Ratoath is a ridiculous price, there will be much harder challenges to come, Castletown who didnt even play that well were still in with a shout until the end , and missed a easy goal chance in the first half by blasting it over the bar

Everybody's talking about Ratoath but what about Don/Ash? Ratoath only scraped over the line in last years Junior final, don't see how PP could have Ratoath at 4/1 yet Don/Ash at 14/1. The Intermediate grade is, as ever, wide open, impossible to pick a winner at this stage.
