Dunshaughlin messed things up there for you Glenny! impresive win in Navan tonight. They have some very talented footballers and the win could set them up for a quater final place after a terrible 2012. As for Simionstown this will be a big setback, although missing a lot of very influential players I really thought they could be this years surprise package if they buy into Eamon O'Brien methods and with the winning under 21 team last year.

Yes not for the 1st time fickle Simonstown let me down.... really looking at Dunshaughlins League form I taught Simonstown would win but even in a 2 horse race one can pick the wrong one. Looking at the Dunshaughlin line out they seem to have decent team despite having a few old stagers at the back the forward line looks useful with Dwyer and Dereraux lively and Martin Reilly still proving still to be a good player. Crimmins at midfield is a good steady club midfielder. They well set up to move on.... Simonstown well off the mark but can improve but once again will win nothing

Still for the Great Glenny 2 out of 3 aint bad.

Now for tonight coming out a little early here but a bit to do for Sky Sports so cash talks and they pay top Dollar.

Senior;
Pats I here have lot of injuries and absentee's with wedding down the Country. They are a decent side but cant afford to be missing anyone, Ashbourne on the other hand have oodles of players and will be there or there abouts this year and will win here.

Inter;
Clan na Gael are poor Carnaross are poorer Anyones game as both sides are delighted that there will be no relagation this year to be honest there is a case for a soccer style playoff with bottom teams in Intermediate playing off with beaten semi finalists in Junior to get rid of some of these brutal Intermediate sides but that for another day. This is really one to test me as both are so bad anyone can win, Dont want to pick a draw as always Glenny the Great likes to be clear cut so a heisadent vote to the heart of Carnaross that I think Clan na Gael lack.

Junior;
Dunshaughlin be on a high after last night they will test Clonard and this will be a close one but feel Clonard may shade it.
Kilbride v Drumconrath. Massive game as loser will probally play in Junior B next year. Neither are any good and Championship form is very bad on both sides but Round 1 is Round 1 and while finese will be scarce effort will not be (for 1st 45 minutes or so). Drumconrath have better league form but Dunshaughlin showed last night this means nothing. Expect lots of hits and even more mouthing but Drums may narrowly get over the line.

If I get Carnaross right this could be a massive bet and worth a tipple on a quadrupal $$$$$$$ signs in the eyes

Duleek-Bellewstown v Seneschalstown ; Improving Duleek to fall short to Seneschalstown.
Rathkenny v Oldcastle; Battle for the bottom of the group, Rathkenny have some useful players big pitch in Kwood contructed for the great Kilmainhamwood teams of the mid 90s will maybe suit Oldcastle better.
Na Fianna v St Peter's, Interesting game I think Na Fianna have a chance here Dunboyne could be in shake up come October. Na Fianna wont be but I think they be well up for it and they may win here
Nobber v Walterstown; These pair had great clashes back in the 80s when Football was Football and Meath where Meath. How the standards have fallen since. Walterstown should win
Skryne v Summerhill. Summerhill with plenty on County team have a good chance this year and will win this Heavyweight clash

Inter;
Syddan v Dunderry; Some say Syddan are old but they will have 3 or 4 minors playing here, how the tough Syddan heritage has changed. Dunderry to egde it but the County Board have helped Syddan with the tight Kilberry pitch.
St Colmcille's v Gaeil Colmcille; Cilles are going good this year and may be better than most. Kells are looking better than in other years in this poor Intermediate Championship. Cills like Simonstown usually fall in a heap so the Gaels to win.
Castletown v Ratoath; Interesting, last time Ratoath where Intermediate they could not hack it. They more ready for it now. Castletown started badly last year but improved as the year passed. Donal Curtis will bring more to the table they will be ready this year and can win by a point or two.

Junior;
Bective v Duleek-Bellewstown; No contest Bective to win
St Peter's, Dunboyne v Kilmainhamwood Not much more of a contest either Dunboyne to win.
Curraha v Skryne; Curraha to put brutal League form behind them and win narrowly.
Summerhill v Meath Hill; Meath Hill wont lie down but wont get any points for that. Summerhill to nick the two.
