Seanorinn,
It's ok, we'll cope without your list!

Your closeness to the panel never stopped you passing comment before Sean. Did you get a warning?

Are you joking no one warns me.

You will see over the past I never name players to appose the panel hence my reasons for not doing so. My position was made impossible by another poster who named the full 2011-2012 players/panel.

You could give a list of who you think should be in the panel, without saying who you think should be out from last years - if you really wanted to that is.

Yes I will think about it. Tell me whats your view on this To Hayes fellow from Cootehill is he too small, very wiry player. I wonder if we were to take all the quality young players we have from 18 to 21 and mould them into the senior layers for the McKenna cup too see how they fair out I wonder would this be the way to go. I have to say Joe Dillon and Young Smith really disappointed me I expected more from them. People mention some of the players from Mullahorn and they keep on about one and this fellow has yet to impress me for sure. People also mention young Brady centre half back for Mullahorn has he got what it takes for me I am not sure.

You talk some bull Sean. How was your position made impossible. You asked me for a list of players under 25, I named it. You were meant to be giving a list of over 25s and couldn't do it. You've now back tracked on another thread and admitted the players aren't there.

And, as I said before, how would a list of players over 25 be going against the current panel? Only 4 or 5 of them are over 25 so name 35 players and include those 4 or 5 with your thirty. Or how about I set you a challenge now. Name a panel of 30 players who haven't played championship or league football for Cavan this year.

You wouldn't be opposing the current panel now because the task I've set clearly outlines that you can't name them so I'm sure they'll understand and won't take it to heart.

Niall Mc Kiernan of Lacken would be a huge addition to Cavan midfield and Conor Finnegan to the forwards.

I see David givney and gearoid mckiernan will be lining out for Ulster this weekend in the match for michaela. Were there any cavan players trialled for this team or how did the 2 lads get selected? Hopefully they can play well and show cavan can produce top footballers.

Would you like to elaborate on this assumption.
The guy has ability but he has a lot of faults that need to be addressed.
Not sure if midfield is his position either.
Declan McKiernan I feel would be a far better option than above for he has ability to field the ball, he has player awareness and he is very strong and will not cower away from a tackle so Declan for me and having said that maybe even as CHB and above all he is not a Me-Feiner.

I thought Padraig McGahern would have being mentioned as a Cavan player next year. Seen him a couple times during championship and impressed.

Sean mo chara, do you know when Terry Hyland is naming a training panel? Or will you challenge me on the fair green for asking you that?

So what your trying to say is N.Mckiernan is not good enough for a place on cavans seniors team is it sean?if memory serves he right n mc kiernan scored 3-3 in the intermidiate final and is probly the highest scoring forward in the county this year, and as for Conor Finnegan I'm sure he would play a great part if the was located at corner forward. From reports I've herd about young finnegan is that he scored 2-4 lately in an u21 game so I'm sure he's worth his place.

Come on he scored 3-3 in a final that was over after what they did the week before. I did not say he was not good enough for the county panel but having said that we have had our belly full of individualists and show men so maybe you are right he is not good enough unless he changes his way all for one one for all. Conor is a lovely lad but still soft he has to mature as does his brother and when they do they will be good players. Have you watched Lacken's matches flipping hell between McKiernan and Galligan arguing who is going to take the easy frees it would put Mr Hyland and his back-room team off for even thinking about them. No question about ability but I question their team play.
You mention about scoring maybe he should take a leaf out of the two old men on the panel who worked their socks of for Lacken in the County Final and not one recognised it. I know reputation hangs onto players but they did their job and showed the young fellows what team play is about.
While I am at it the best of luck to Lacken in their next round in Ulster.

It would seem he has all ready got most out from a few involved in Ulster or injured

Have not seen any yet but over the next couple of weeks one should be able to see all. Good to see James McEnroe back training good lad that fellow a potential CHB. Many of the players really coming trough from the county champions are still U21 players so they are a different regime

Thanks for that Sean. Good indeed to see James back.
