Replying To midlands:  "Surely Cody has been there for more than 13 years. I think he took over in 1999. I won't pretend to have all the stats but I'm sure he must have had more than 48 championship matches. I do know he had more than one drawn championship game. Offhand I can think of three - against Galway (2012), Dublin (2013) and Tipperary (2014) - and there may be more. I'm also sure that he lost more than five championship games. Tipp had three wins (2010, 2016 and 2019 finals), Galway had at least two wins (maybe more) while he has also tasted championship defeats against Dublin, Wexford, Waterford (twice), Limerick and Cork. That makes at least eleven defeats. Nevertheless, his record since 1999 has been amazing."
Midlands, the post to which you are replying was posted on the 27th of January 2011. That's almost 10 years ago. It always pays to read the small print.

Thanks, Greengrass. I'll be more careful in future. Congrats to Louth on their hurling win at the weekend, and hopefully Micky Harte will bring some success to your footballers.

Between your man from Kildare posting on a thread from 9 years ago and another boy who cannot add and then a reply to a poster who wasn't even the the one who somehow stumbled across this antique telling them that their reply was to a post from 9 years ago ,I'm beginning to see a pattern developing here and it's not looking good for the general standard of IQ shall we say.

Lost All -Ireland Finals again in 2004 to Cork and in 2010,2016 and 2019 to Tipperary.Only the other 2 superpowers of hurling Cork and Tipp have beaten Cody in an All-Ireland Final.
