What are your thoughts on integration of GAA, Camogie and LGFA.
My questions:
Why haven't the Camogie and LGFA amalgamated? Apparently not allowed to ask this as it is a deflection!
How can the GAA be accused of Misogyny, when 9 of the 19 Management Committee are women? Why haven't we heard from the female members this week?
Why don't women attend Camogie and LGFA matches in the same numbers?
When it comes to funding; both codes (hurling and football) don't get equal support in most counties. Do you think the Mayo Hurlers have same access to funding as their footballers?
I fully support integration, but these questions need to be answered. At club level, my own are in the 'One Club' model. All codes have equal access to pitches, facilities, equipment, funding etc. It works very well. We have 1 executive committee, represented by men and women. This has to be the starting point to kick off full integration.
What are everyone else's thoughts on this? Is your club 'one club'? Do you routinely see unfairness?

Integration should not be that difficult. What is causing the issue is a lack of transparency from all sides in the negotiation.
I think we can all agree that the proposal for the GAA to double its expenditure next year to achieve spending parity across the codes is ridiculous. Many of the female players who have commented on the issue seem to agree that such a measure is unnecessary and does not align with what they are actually looking for.
These players however are not involved in the top level discussions and we have heard very little from those who are.
So my questions are
Why did Jarlath say this was a reason to delay integration? If that not what they are asking for?
If that is what the LGFA & Camogie association are asking for why are they misrepresenting the wishes of the players?
If we could answer those questions we would have a fair idea which side the stonewallers sit.

Even though the GAA has to pay for lighting, bathrooms, dressing rooms, grass seeds, pitch maintence, building maintence. The men do pay for using the facilities. Also the ladies keep all match fees and don't give any to the host venue, unlike the men's teams. There's a lot more differences. It's not just tick a box and go.

Where did you hear that the LGFA do not pay for pitches and use of facilities? What are the lot more differences?

Next we will be expecting County Hurling and County Footballers to be treated equally. Using Mayo as an example, I doubt the Mayo Hurlers received the same backing as the Mayo Footballers. If anyone knows better, please enlighten me. Resources are limited.

Looking at the debacle around the Kilmessan camog's and Dunsany lady footballers playing finals 17 hours apart this weekend is it not better that the LGFA and Camogie Associations merge first, get their house in order around fixtures and player welfare before they bring the GAA into the mix?
This type of thing has come up year after year and it amazes me that these sports people would stand for this. I know people will cite pitch availability and master plans but fixing 2 finals so close together is inexcusable. If the GAA (pitches) are the problem then call it out. My view is it's not, more the 2 associations just having total disrespect for the other, as well as their own members.
