I'm not physio or a doctor. But does the rate of very serious injury including ACL seem extremely high? Meathooooo (Meath) - Posts: 104 - 12/08/2026 18:17:25 2689617 Link 0 |

I think it's primarily the extreme load upon players, particularly county players. It's also the nature of the game now - in the modern game you need to be fast, strong and learn to bring intensity to matches, which takes its toll overtime. What you need is a top class S&C coaching team to keep them fully fit. Luck (or rather unluckiness) can take a part to be fair, as some things are out of their hands. It's mounting up for us though. Coffey, Kinsella…It's getting tricky. RoyalStalwart24 (Meath) - Posts: 88 - 13/08/2026 11:07:47 2689667 Link 0 |

The difference between teams winning a Leinster title or all Ireland and not can be these type injury. Although Westmeath won Leinster without Luke Laughlin, you'd get some odds of them winning a Leinster snd him playing nearly no part dickie10 (UK) - Posts: 978 - 13/08/2026 16:06:04 2689732 Link 0 |
