Leitrim are surely favourites for this? Not many teams have the quality we have as we proved against Galway.

Only change I'd make here is I see Antrim beating Carlow

How many minutes coverage will the Tailteann Cup get on Sunday Game, il go with a whole 2.40 minutes with some awful background music, followed by some general comments from pundits who didn't see any of the games.

While majority of show focuses on two finals that were already shown live earlier that day.

Sound familiar??

Love how you don't mention Wicklow. We ran the Dubs very close. In fact had the usually reliable Mark Jackson scored any of his 6 two pointer attempts we'd have not have lost that game. We were in the Semi Final last year, beat a good Westmeath side, and were 8 up in the Semi Final v Limerick in Croke Park before capitulating.

I think that the rights for the Tailteann should be given to TG4. Both the live games and highlights. The only caveat should be that there should be a bi lingual element to the analysis in both productions. It would help anyway.
The reality is that there are more than enough McCarthy and Maguire games to fill the rte schedule and the sunday game. Allow TG4 cover tailteann and Joe McDonagh games.

I've commented on Wicklow before. As I say, top 7 from Division 4 can make a mark. Wicklow having missed on promotion twice and lost in last year's Tailteann semi finals are just coming up short of success.

No problem with who covers games, but half London team are London born, what does your caveat mean to them, and their fans? Are we not trying to promote our games?

I'd guess it might be a case of not so much that Tailteann Cup right should be "given" to TG4, as TG4 for their own reasons chose not to bid for them.

And that guess is based on the arrangement re. the McDonagh Cup. Clubber show matches from the Joe McDonagh and Christy Ring Cups. That means the rights were available all right, but Clubber bought them rather than TG4 doing so. Don't know if TG4 even bid for them.

Obviously can't actually speak for the other poster, but in fairness, I think he meant it in the opposite way to how you're interpreting it.

Insisting that TG4 provide bilingual coverage would mean there'd be coverage in English as well as Irish, so that non-Irish speakers (like those who were born and grew up in London) would be able to understand at least some of it.

No bilingual stipulation would mean all the coverage would be in Irish, and that'd be no use at all to the London-born crew or anybody else who doesn't have more than just a cúpla focail.
