there are 8 officials at the moment ref 4 unpires and 2 linesmen and an assistant ref? surely thats enough? and with the simple biased talk you would hear after matches i think refs have enough to be doing rather than listening to biased observations from fans.

By dialogue Davy means an opportunity to scream at the officials in private when things don't go his way. There's no hope he'd have a mature debate with officials after a match.

It's easy to pick apart referees who have to make split second decisions in the heat of the moment in a game as fast as hurling.

You'll have even less people interested in referring if this is the case.
