Wouldn't it be great if the county All Ireland was as close instead of every county playing as also rans to Kerry.

Whoever wins the Roscommon final replay might have a big say in Connacht, and if they win that the AI series also.

The Roscommon winner will come up against Ballina Stephenites. Ballina will be looking for redemption after losing out to Coolera-Strandhill after penalties in last year's semi final. Pádraig Pearses looking for similar redemption though after last year's Connacht final.

Ballina are also a good team. Was up there in September, big interest in Football up there, I was a little surprised tbh, our urban centres wouldnt be as GAA minded in general.

Ballyboden, Dingle, Kilcoo and Moycullen seem to be the current favourites. Ballina are 3rd favourites in Connacht, sandwiched between Roscommon drawn finalists St Brigid's and Pádraig Pearses.

Think you might be getting a bit confused there. Ballina aren't near 3rd favourites for the All-Ireland at the moment. These are the odds on Paddy Power currently: All Ireland Senior Club Football Championship 2025 Ballyboden St Endas 3/1 Daingean 5/1 Kilcoo 8/1 Maigh Cuilinn 8/1 St Finbarrs 11/1 St Brigids 12/1 The Downs 13/1 Scotstown 16/1 Newbridge 17/1 Loughmacrory 22/1 Athy 22/1 Ballina 22/1 Portarlington 22/1 Tullamore 25/1 Naomh Conaill 33/1 Summerhill 40/1 Padraig Pearses 40/1 Eire Og Ennis 40/1 Even in Connacht Brigid's and Maigh Cuilinn are favoured more strongly. Both have won Connacht in recent years and Brigid's were minutes away from an All-Ireland. Mayo clubs have had a poor record in Connacht over the last decade. No provincial title since 2015. The last time Maigh Cuilinn won Galway, they hammered Westport. They're a strong, well balanced team. Pearse's and Brigid's have been a much tougher proposition for the Galway winners in recent years, and have very good records. Ballina are a seasoned team now with a few years of provincial experience, so I'd expect them to be better this year. WanPintWin (Galway) - Posts: 2611 - 27/10/2025 16:05:56 2641863 Link 0 |

Daingean @5/1. Excellent value. I really don't think Boden will even win Leinster. Patrick Pearses @40/1 is my other interest. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3774 - 27/10/2025 16:17:48 2641869 Link 1 |

Kilcoo 8/1 are the worst value on the board. Loughmacrory should be in the 50/1 bracket. Saynothing (Tyrone) - Posts: 2451 - 27/10/2025 16:45:18 2641881 Link 0 |

If Ballyboden are to be stopped in their tracks in Leinster; The Downs, Athy and Portarlington are the leading favourites. 8 of the last 10 winners have come from Dublin. 5 of the last 5 are from Dublin. Matches the 2012 to 2016 record.

Portarlington gave Crokes a bit of a scare with a mad wind a few years ago and are an experienced outfit at this stage. I just don't think Boden fit the model.

Fantastic scenes in Loughmacrory last night when the Armagh champions for the first time Madden arrived in Loughmacrory to celebrate alongside the Tyrone champions for the first time. All linked by the Grimly brothers who were part of each team. Armagh and Tyrone celebrating together. Saynothing (Tyrone) - Posts: 2451 - 29/10/2025 17:50:22 2642171 Link 4 |
