By all accounts the players in Westmeath had great time for McCabe; your sources need to be checked out.

St Pats has always had a coach dedicated to it, Liam Brady there now. Last year St Aidans Vs Virginia was in an Ulster Final at U-14.5, and game was played on the 3g. St Pats McRory were in a play off, not a semi or a final, and they got priority on the main pitch in Breffni, and got hammered by the way. Nothing is changing, and until it does, Cavan will be at the bottom of underage football."
So you wanted a 3rd/4th tier u14 match to be played on the main pitch and a Senior Top Tier Q/Final playoff to be moved to the 3g!! and it wasn't a hammering either, they got beat by 6 points by a team made up of 3/5 Donegal Schools.

By the way, Liam Brady is in as a selector as he was asked by the school to come in - there's plenty of schools around Cavan who could do the same if they wanted to show the same ambition!

Is there relegation from McRory or is it closed loop?

For a county like Cavan where we don't exactly have the option of picking and choosing any manager from the top tier nationally, I think Mr MCabe is a worthy choice from amongst our own, and the very best of luck to him in a thankless task.

Teams can enter the McRory Cup if they win the McLarnon cup or the likes of Southwest Donegal who formed a team
and gained entry by getting approval to do so.
