Kudos Viking66, for all the talk and bluster on this page where is this level of in-depth knowledge of the club scene from the others who profess hurling as a way of life? I don't claim to have it, I see the odd adult match but not many but will when my own are hurling. ExiledInWex (Dublin) - Posts: 1395 - 24/06/2025 13:50:40 2620687 Link 0 |
Yeah Richie's off in American. You sure Chinner is suspended? I thought a championship suspension carried into the league?

Might be a blessing in disguise for you, against St Mullins when Lee came on you resorted to aimless long ball forwards for the whole 2nd half hoping he would make something out of nothing for you.

I would not put too much weight on what is happening in the Schools. Yes they are successful there the last few years but currently not near top level at 12s all the way to 18s. This might be a little controversial but in IMO their current success at adult level has been built on the back of some really strong traditional GAA families who are 100% committed to St.Martins , mainly fathers training their Sons teams and doing extra with them outside of training. Every club has these cycles and currently the majority of those strong families have passed through the underage system but will reappear in time. I am a firm believer that nature is equally as important as nurture. Paull (Wexford) - Posts: 206 - 24/06/2025 15:15:55 2620729 Link 0 |
Martins are are definitely over rated!!!yes they are in the top 3 in wexford but the gap between the top 3 and the rest is not insurmountable to say the next 7-8 teams!!! Definitely overrated in my eyes by no means dominant like oulart,I genuinely don't think they will win it this year, also they are down alot of players from last year!!! Don't ask me who will win it but I don't think the Martins!!! Don't think any team can afford to be missing 6 or 7 lads like they are!!! Anne's team missing there vital lads in finallast year and alot of other lads carring serious enough knocks!!! The Anne's might do it

Forgive my poor knowledge of Wexford club hurling but St. Martins overrated? ExiledInWex (Dublin) - Posts: 1395 - 24/06/2025 22:15:45 2620834 Link 0 |
