I suspect Thurles was nt chosen as the gaa thought the crowd would nt be big enough for it like most Crike park games at mo. I think you are off the mark in this one Mesamis.

Any thoughts at all on my observation that according to your so-called logic, if Cavan made it to an Ulster Football Final, it'd be a meaningless and nothing match since both they and whoever they were playing would already be through to "the Championship proper" anyway?

Only 30k showed up for the entire Munster Championship. All of it! Kerry don't get a support outside of the Final or the odd semi final. No need for a survey to see that! Like you said, Thurles far too big and further way from the people who have an intention to go to the game. Tullamore a good shout instead. I can't believe some people would prefer to make it more difficult for the supporters to go to a match! That's madness.
