Well don't forget Meath are not a bad side and you nearly went out v Down to ..

Wouldn't be getting to cocky just yet ! Though in saying that I'd love for you to get to another final v Armagh and bottle it again now that would be hilarious !

Replying To RebelAlliance:  "It honestly seemed fairly straight forward to me. They added Donegal to the bowl and then had to draw from those that advanced straight to quarters. Jimmy's well and truly creating a siege mentality in Donegal ha."
Nothing to with siege mentality or accusation of a fix it just was quite confusing when you can't see it and they should have made it clearer. I thought for a minute Donegal had drawn Meath.

Eh Down were 3-1 outsiders and will regret missed chances. Galway just scrapped over the line. Meath will be probably 3-1 here too but hey I guess it's a great draw for Galway and a handy passage to semi final.

Replying To Lockjaw:  "Same as that. I thought I definitely heard us drawn to play Meath as well.

Hopefully in 2026 they'll do away with this outdated craic of doing the draws for our flagship competition at 8.30 on a Monday morning.

Anyway, another battle with Monaghan awaits. This will not be easy."
I've mentioned this a few times on here, the draw is not 'televised' at all, they don't show the bowls or the balls being drawn, they keep the camera on their faces? why??
absolute joke but about what you'd expect from RTE and the GAA, I trust nothing in this country, experience has taught me that.

You Mayo lad should bottle your hate and take a vacation. You hate Galway, Meath etc etc and probably your own reflection. Let us enjoy the football against a great Meath side. bye bye

Replying To dickie10:  "i guess the GAA will try to put dublin and kerry games on different days, but surely wont be able to with galway and donegal out yesterday? youd imagine it will be donegal v monghon at 2pm and meath v galway at 4pm sunday. do fans rather being on the first or second game? donegal would rather first youd say and be headed up the road home by 4:30 intead of 7pm on a sunday evening. wont bother galway as much with M6 motorway to get gome on. meath fans could go to coppers that night and get a taxi home and still be in bed at 3am!"
Why would they try put dublin and kerry on different days ? I'd have thought for crowds it would be ideal to have kerry in with Dublin, the biggest support with the lowest

Down never led, and were rarely level in 70mins. If being 4pts up when the hooter goes equates to 'nearly went out', I'd take it every day of the week.

Down got relegated to div 3 and were in a group with 2 div 2 teams and a div 3 team. Meath finished 3rd and have beaten Dubkin and kerry, and bet Down comfortably in the league too by the way. Not like for like. I Still think Galway get the job done tho

Looking at the quarter final line up it's hard not to side with the four rested group winners to progress.

Only two preliminary round teams have reached the last 4, Galway by 1 point and Monaghan on penalties.

With all that in mind Armagh,Tyrone should do enough to overcome Dublin,Kerry.

Other games I'm less sure about I think at least one preliminary quarter finalists to progress. Donegal v Monaghan could take extra time or penalties to separate the two and I'll give a nod to Donegal.

Galway injuries will have a deciding factor in the other game, if McDaid,S Walsh are out then Meath to win if at least one are fit to play Galway to find a way to stumble over the line.

You might have some advice for them on the bottling front. Some people have no self awareness.

Replying To PressureKick:  "Dublin are evens with Boyles. You'll get a bit bigger on both Dublin and definitely Monaghan on Betfair on the day anyway.

Not because they're priced wrong as such and will drift, more because a quarter final will be bet close to 100% with good liquidity. Boyles are currently taking 12% margin on the Monaghan game for example which is laughable"
Boyles actually marginally better on most GAA.

Going to hold my 40 on Monaghan for semi :-)

Meath have made great progress and was my tip early in the year to get promoted to Div 1 and also win the Leinster title but I'm expecting Galway to win by 4 or 5pts.

If you were a GAA fan, you would know that would have the 2 biggest supports in Croke Park on the same day.

At this point I'm thinking
1. Armagh (they could really do one on Kerry the weekend, 7 points plus)
2. Dublin (expecting them to sneak a cagey affair)
3. Donegal (I think they have Monaghan's number, unfortunately, and will win more comfortably than they did in Clones)
4. Meath to provide the surprise of the round (they have the tools to match Galway)

Of course I only half-mean the quarter of what's written here

It's not about Dublin and Kerry supports (around 9k at Kerry's last game in Killareny), it's about the Dublin and Armagh supports.

Look at what happened to the last two teams who took Meath lightly.

Scraped past Cork, drew with Roscommon and beat Kerry no easy game there!
Just wondering when did Meath last win in Croke Park....
