Cork the best of the rest? They are the best. As you say, they weren't actually overly impressive Saturday. Limerick were at full tilt. There was another gear or two in Cork tbh.

Cork will continue to improve further. Limerick went after them to prove a point the first day, that last year was an anomaly. But as Cork continue to go up through the gears, they are actually a different level to Limerick.

If they meet again, Cork will be better again, and the gap will widen! Limerick in the two games threw their best at Cork to put them back in their box. It hasn't worked, and Cork are now ramping up for the serious stuff.

We'll see Cork at full tilt going forward. They haven't shown their full hand yet. There's another level still in them tbh! And we can all sense it. Someone is going to get a tanking off them at some point when they click, probably KK or Limerick if they meet again!

I agree to a certain extent. Cork can do serious damage if they are let. There is more in them. There's more in Kilkenny and Limerick, too. And don't discount Tipp. I don't think that any team will take a tanking from Cork but a 5-6-point victory is well in their grasp.

People need to remember that the two games vs. Limerick were in Limerick's backyard. Home advantage is huge in almost every sport. Croke Park suits Limerick, but it also suits Cork. Kilkenny has a great history against Cork. Cork came out of Munster before with the AI already won: 1982 with Tony 'Baby Jesus' O'Sullivan being a notable example, and Kilkenny with Cody at the helm as captain absolutely blew them away in the final.

So, things could go any or many ways from hereon in. I don't want to discount Galway or Dublin, but I just cannot see them get to the level of Cork, Limerick, Kilkenny or Tipp. But I do know that whoever lifts Liam will sorely earn it.

I would give either Kilkenny or Tipp a fighting chance, although have to say its Corks to lose
If they play as they can I think they would see off either
But expectation can bring its own pressure - Limerick hammering Cork in the round robin may have done them a huge favour by keeping them grounded
Dublin are the big question mark. Nothing in their previous form would suggest they have any chance of beating Cork. Except beating Limerick with 14 men!
I really hope they can put it up to Cork

Well they ran them close enough last year and look at what Na Fiamna did to Sars, in the club Final, with the same Manager
Also cast your mind back to 2018, when Limerick had 14 men in the Pairc for about three quarters of the game and yet got a result. Remember what happened after. Could History repeat itself, Why not

We have had some odd games against Cork.

Never much in it and we flattered to decieve but never looked like catching them.

They are good but if Dublin can rise it again who knows.

Last 4 games against them have been pedestrian. Tactics dictated by managers not wanting to blot copybook by shipping a hiding.

Those days,are gone. In our own hands now. They will go down with their boots on.

(BTW. Two last games in round robin were meaningless. Winning Leinster was irrelevant. .... Ponder that my friends...)

After you beat us you knew you were likely to get through, either at our expense or Galways depending on the result in Salthill.
At the same time I think you knew you have a better chance against Cork than Kilkenny believe it or not! Ponder that.....

I was disgusted by Galway performance. Looked like same old, same old.

Indications were that they were not broken hearted about avoiding Cats, had already qualified and had one last game to empty the tank against Munster final loser. Were already preparing for that, some would say on the training pitch.

Easy to be wise as you say, and my own optimism did not extend beyond a Hail Mary punt on the 12 point spread. So not claiming any wisdom at all!

I do, however, put store on some of what I've heard.

Whether Dublin have any more left to throw against Cork we will only find out on July 5. They will be well prepared for it anyway, as will Cork so looking forward at very least to another great game among many we've had so far. And likewise in the other semi final.. Great to be part of it.
