Quarter-finals
New York v Galway
London v Roscommon
Mayo v Sligo

First round
Wexford v Laois
Carlow v Meath
Wicklow v Longford

Quarter-finals
Waterford v Tipperary
Limerick v Cork

Preliminary round
Donegal v Derry

The big clash is in Ulster this weekend between Donegal and Derry. Sligo nearly beat Galway last year. Wexford v Laois is interesting to see where Wexford are after promotion to Division 3. Tipperary looking for revenge over Waterford for last year.

Donegal v Derry is the only quality game.
The rest looks like pigs with lipstick (or even without).

Sligo nearly neat Galway when Galway were missing players . They have only won 3 games in division 3 at home.

Sligo only won 2 out of 3 home games, we picked up 3 points on the road and finished only 2 points behind yer total, and it was hardly a fantastic display last Sunday. Worry about your own house before commenting on others! Mayo will win on Sunday and in two weeks time against Leitrim and the heads will swell again before a Connacht final that everyone knew they'd reach.

Apart from the overseas games - Sligo are in knockout football in Connacht. No safety net. Haven't seen a lot of upsets in these type of games yet. The underdogs have more to play for.
Apart from Meath, the 5 others have to win in Leinster. Cork should be safe but two unexpected provincial finalists would send them to the Tailteann.

Kildare, Offaly, Westmeath, Clare, Fermanagh, Sligo and Laois, ranked 14 to 22 in the league, are looking at elimination from the All Ireland race unless they make their provincial finals.
Sligo require a giant killing. Laois then have to try and fend off an impressive Wexford, league final aside. There seems to be very little talk of the knockout aspect of this in the build up to these games.

So every year Mayo get to a Connacht final we lose the run of ourselves? Ah now come on.

That's because none of those teams are going to come within an assessment roar of winning Liam. It would probably suit most of them better to be in the TC

I know sure. The bit about that though is the provincial link is retained but it isn't driving big interest for those in knockout football. A funny one.

London have been knocked out of the All Ireland qualifying race at their first hurdle. Roscommon won 2-26 to 0-13.

Cork versus Kerry coming up. Let's hope we give you a decent game. Beat Limerick easily enough today.

Having a man sent off early didn't help Limerick. Surprised Wexford were beaten well by Laois. Waterford left there late flurry of scores too late.

I was there. I wasn't surprised. 5 of our best players from the League games were missing injured. Another played but had a badly bruised foot and had to go off at halftime after needing treatment on it during the 1st half. Probably shouldn't have played either.
The lads looked tired, it was our 6th or 7th weekend out in a row I think.

Limerick were in the same boat as us as regards playing a hard game last weekend.

Sure, of course a fair point about Wexford and Limerick not having a fair break. The quarter finals then are next weekend in Leinster. Madness for any league finalists that would be facing that schedule!
