The Munster final now is so big now and recovering mentally and physically from what it takes to get over the line is very hard. Winning it, getting back down and then getting yourself back up again is tough but losing it and coming back to go again is even harder.
Would be great if they could get her back even in a part time\ weekend basis to try and refocus minds next year.
I imagine she would also have had a very positive effect on management too and help catch and put out fires between management and players when issues inevitably arise. This is bound to happen in squads that have been together so long and having someone calm, neutral and slightly removed would be so beneficial.
Well done to Tipp yesterday, they were fantastic in the second half. The journey they took is similar to Limerick in 2018. The same issues for Cork happen again, in my opinion the mindset of the supporters and to a lesser extent the team is killing them. Fantastic numbers and fantastic support for their team but the Achilles heel is the ridiculous over confidence. Haven't won an all Ireland in 20 years but still rock up each and every time like they are going for their fifth All Ireland in a row. The carry on also turned almost every single neutral supporter against them yesterday. Confidence is an essential requirement for winning but so too is humility and that small little factor has cost Cork a couple of All Irelands I think. They should be banking the hurt and using it as motivation to actually get over the line, not forgetting about it every single year and rocking up with the mindset of champions. This Corkness thing is just comical at this stage."
Totally agree with the last paragraph. Hard to know where that confidence comes from when their defence coughs up so many scores over & over again.

I was at the match yesterday (wife is from Tipp) and agree with everything you say about Cork, but I would like to add I think the whole Horgan HAS to win an All Ireland medal is a heavy burden/ distraction for the reast of the team. No doubting the man is a class act and has been a joy to watch but no man has a god given right to a celtic cross just on ability alone (we have a few from the 90s ourselves).

Totally agree with you. We had players in 1996 who had given sterling service for several years previous and I don't recall anyone outside of Limerick at that time saying those players deserved AI medals.
A lot of this hype is media driven - purely depending on for whatever reason the media like a player (or not).

It is unbelievable. Live in Cork and it drives me spare when I hear some very good Cork hurling people say that he deserves an AI. Can't deny he was a great player but nothing in high level sport comes easy, especially an all Ireland.
Be very interesting to see how Cork react to this loss. After yesterday, I am bit more optimistic about Limerick next year but we do need to freshen some things up. Munster championship will be a bear pit next year.
