You'd want to add being competitive in the Leinster final and the All Ireland quarter final as well Barney. Last year's Leinster final and All Ireland quarter final involving Dublin were both very, very poor.

You have 3 games on Tg4 according to the Leader

Seems like a bit of a low blow. I wouldn't categorise Dublin's quarter final performance as very very poor. They were lacking in confidence but had lots of opportunities in that game particularly in the first half. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3269 - 15/01/2025 16:03:54 2585998 Link 0 |
Cork won at a canter Doyler. I watched that game. Given the fight and determination Dublin had shown against Galway in Galway to make the Leinster final I was fully expecting a strong Dublin reaction to their Leinster final performance. It never happened unfortunately and Cork didn't have to break sweat. It was a very disappointing day for both the players and their hugely loyal supporters.

Leinster final was very poor. Disastrous game plan. Regrouped well actually for the quarter final against Cork and put up a good enough performance. Five points. Anyway, Dublin hurling team in All Ireland final on Sunday. Good enough start to the year. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3280 - 15/01/2025 17:28:36 2586006 Link 0 |
I didn't see any team sheets Barney, I spent most of my time working out the new Limerick lads. Dubs were moving well but game was on astro and players could solo and bounce sliothars off the ground while running at pace- game a small bit artificial in that sense. I only saw the fixture mentioned here and that's how I got it.

Thanks for that.

I was already annoyed about the juvenile ticket thing but I only copped this morning you can't buy the bundle if you have kids. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3269 - 16/01/2025 12:36:24 2586066 Link 0 |
Doyler what price are they charging now for individual adult tickets??do all child tickets have to be bought with an adult ticket or can more than one be bought?? CTGAA10 (Limerick) - Posts: 2416 - 16/01/2025 13:03:32 2586071 Link 0 |
It's 20 euro per adult and you can buy multiple juvenile tickets with that. But in order to purchase juvenile tickets you have to buy at least one adult ticket so you'd have to pay full price, as in you can't avail of the 3 or 6 package offer unless it's adults only. They seem to be doing all they can to put people off bringing kids. Dublin County Board at same crack. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3280 - 16/01/2025 14:22:54 2586090 Link 0 |
Log into your universe account before buying anything. Then you can buy the 6 game package, and the kids tickets separately. It worked for me before Xmas anyway. I still haven't recovered from the fact the kids tickets cost more than my own...... Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 14249 - 16/01/2025 15:22:54 2586100 Link 0 |
Yup. I'm going to it Barney. Really looking forward to it. You have two well matched sides looking to win the club title for the first time. It should be a great game. Really looking forward to the football as well. Once again you have two teams both of whom are looking for a first ever club title. I always enjoy the club final day.

Id love to know who was playing for Dublin because I thought they played well, moved the ball well, with pace and they look like they have a game plan. Two of Goals they got were softish, but they made Limerick chase shadows in the first half. I know its early in the year, but I have to say Dublin certainly look like they are going well at this stage.

And they have a very astute and shrewd manager in Niall Ó Ceallacháin and the Na Fianna will be back at some stage too. I think Dublin will be there or thereabouts for a Leinster title this year. Past hurler (None) - Posts: 844 - 17/01/2025 16:32:22 2586218 Link 0 |
These games mean nothing but Ó Ceallacháin has done well with Na Fianna. Tomorrow may tell another tale! But that's what we need. Dublin 1961 had one non Dub Paddy Croke - great man - and Shannon another Tipp man came on as sub. And Im not anti Tipp ! Grandad was Tipp man hurled with Dublin in 20s. Lar, who was sent off that day, brought the same spirit to what was decent team in 1989/90/ . Closest of all to winning Liam imho, beaten narrowly by Cats and Offaly. Anthony was great. We were in bad place but we need to forget about some lad from Galway winning us something. All we need now is ban on football :-) BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3280 - 18/01/2025 00:03:16 2586252 Link 0 |
