Fine team picked. Great first 15 when Ken McGrath doesn't make it! I suppose the selectors didn't want to face another barrage of Joe Duffy tripe, so they decided to leave Kyle Hayes out completely! I'd rate him a better half-back than Sean Og, for one. And a better hurler overall than Richie Hogan. Also a bit surprised to not see Jackie Tyrrell make the 26. I suppose you can't pick them all. All fine hurlers named. Congratulations to the 26!

25 years brings us to 1999. I am amazed there is a Wexford man selected, even more amazed it's chinner. Wonderful as he is Damien Fitzhenry would be our pick for me. Arguably the only Wexford Man who's the best of all time in his position.

Then again there have been so many fabulous players in that time it's very hard to look outside all Ireland winners. In that sense it's remarkable to see Wexford or Waterford included at all.

Yep, fair to say you can't pick them all, so a pointless exercise in reality. Pass awhile in the pub, but that's about it.
