I believe he is injured at the minute. Also heard Jordan Morris gone to Skyrne,if this is true it looks a good move for the player the club and the county.

If he transfers back into Meath id say he will be looking for a senior club. Heard earlier in year he was going to Tones. Moot point now as i doubt he will be on a pitch again this season looked like a serious injury yesterday. Hopefully hes back soon but if i rember correctley he has had knee issues in the past. He's injured I believe. Dunboyne are also doing great business in the transfer window with them picking up Waterford footballer Jason Gleeson. Robbie McCarthy back aswell, Ger robinson getting a strong panel together. Fair play to him.

Transfer windows are for soccer clubs, fair enough if a fella moves into an area then that's good for the club who gets him, not into poaching lads from other clubs within your own county. The Carthy one is strange coming from Dublin to Summerhill ?? Why is that i wonder

I believe that Carthy transfer has been killed by the Leinster council.

The carthy transfer is sealed, and I don't know where the lads hear these stories. I believe he's playing soccer currently and will join Summerhill soon. Summerhill getting probably the two biggest transfers in meath football in last couple of years with Flanagan as well. Nothing being said about this yet if it was Dunboyne or a big town team their would be uproar Faithfulmeath (Meath) - Posts: 38 - 10/04/2025 17:51:37 2601429 Link 0 |

Don't forget Ballinabrackey . Took the best young player from a junior club 10 minutes up the road from them and it was barely mentioned. Can you imagine if Ratoath had taken one of Kilbrides best young players a few years back. They would have been slated.

Don't think junior club minded him going he gave them nothing unlike Flanagan who gave 100% till the day he left

Skryne did it for years taking players from junior clubs and there wasn't a word about it

Exactly. Certain Club with so called "traditional values" seem to be exempt from criticism when they do it and then other clubs get slaughtered when they do it.

I remember a wag who used to say that Skryne never won a championship without a few Curraha men on board. Used to laugh at that. Curraha are now standing on their own two feet and maybe it is no coincidence that Skryne are finding it hard to challenge. In other times they might have a few of the best Curraha lads. 49erroyal (Meath) - Posts: 79 - 11/04/2025 20:28:25 2601544 Link 0 |

Former Kerry and Kilmacud Crokes goalkeeper, Devon Burns, is set to join Ratoath with the goal of getting into the Meath senior panel. Robbie Brennan, the Meath manager, has reportedly asked him to make the move, and it looks like a smart step towards a future in the county team. Was Galvin involved in this deal, both men from the Kingdom of Kerry. There seems like there's a lot of talk that he isn't staying on and that O'Fearraigh, the Gweedore man is taking over.

Ratoath went from goalkeeper problems to Galvin making Conor Rooney into a class one. He kept a clean sheet for the whole year and varied accurate long and short kick outs, also as a former forward well able to go forward and kick scores. In his 1st year so could build on it. Will Burns even get on the ratoath team, And why would brennan not try Rooney , at least in the o Byrne cup. Ratoath bound to cracked at some point over dual players. Galvin himself was a dual player and probably is in a better position to deal with it than most managers.

O'Fearraigh, a very smart player, reminded me a lot of a fellow native Irish speaker, Stephen "Merot" Sheppard. Regarding Ratoath, it was bound to happen that they would get a few players from the outside. A big town close to Dublin was bound to happen naturally with the influx of people moving into it. Any suggestion that there's money being thrown around or they're buying lads is utterly ridiculous. Does anyone know what happened to Carty the Dub, who transferred to Summerhill (Meath)? He would make a great midfield combination with Adam Flanagan. Hopefully, we get to see him in 2026 Meathfootball12 (Meath) - Posts: 48 - 10/12/2025 21:49:24 2647894 Link 0 |

The word "took" isn't accurate here. Niall played underage with the amalgamation of Bracks and Clonard. He wanted to play at senior level, as did young Flanagan. Both requested transfers, there was no poaching involved. Players come and go everywhere. In fact, The Bracks have signed over 10 transfers to allow players join other clubs in Meath and other counties. Our club has a very simple motto, if a player wants to leave, who are we to stop them? Of course, we'll have a conversation, but if they need or want a transfer, it's never challenged, ever. This is an amateur game. Let lads play. If you wish them well, chances are they'll return in a year or two. Blocking a player only creates conflict and increases the likelihood they'll never come back. thelutch (Meath) - Posts: 1136 - 11/12/2025 09:47:30 2647917 Link 0 |
