If your asking a question like that , I would ponder a guess to say you wouldn't kick snow of a rope

I'd hazard a guess you already know the answer is yes

Some acquisition for Summerhill with Shane Carthy, all Ireland winning midfielder still only 30.
Any other transfers in or out for clubs?

To play alongside their other midfielder who came from a meath junior club 20 minutes up the road and the keeper from a kildare intermediate club 20 minutes away.

Kilmacud Hill.

And yet it is the likes of Ratoath and Don/Ash who get slated by commentators in Meath because of their proximity to the Dublin border and their large population, while Summerhill are seen as this traditional rural Meath club who can do no wrong. Three transfers now in the team.

Exactly. Imagine the criticism a club like Ashbourne would get if they took St Vincents Ard Caths best player from them to play for them.

It's because they are not seen as "Traditional" footballing teams in the county of Meath.

Shane is a brilliant player and top class man off the pitch. Ratoath were asleep at the wheel as he lives there. They have partly redeemed themselves by appointing Paul Galvin as manager. A former dual player while playing top level at the same time. They need to learn how he trained at the same time. can see some slackers shaken off finally

If he lives in Ratoath, how was a transfer to Summerhill sanctioned? Does he not have to live in the area to transfer there?

Inter county transfer as he played in Dublin so where you live has no bearing. There is a difference in a footballer moving to an area and transferring in and someone being approached and chased by a club. I believe Carthy has connection to Summerhill so if true then fair enough.

Don't see the relevance here. No one takes anyone. The player wanted to leave.

Yes but there is quite a double standard to it depending on what club you are or where you are situated in the county. There was hardly a mention of Adam Flanagan moving to Summerhill from a neighbouring junior club who were struggling to stay a float . Or Niall Smullen to the bracks from same the junior club.

If Ratoath or Ashbourne taken the best players from their struggling junior neighbours what do you think the reaction would be ? Or if Dunboyne or Dunshaughlin took young Jennings from Blackhall this year ?

Everyone knows why Carty has chosen to go to Summerhill yet because it's Summerhill not much will be made of it.

Not Much will be made of it? what do you want made of it. All transfer's are up on the GAA transfer System, clubs can see who has applied for what. Club Secretaries get notification of any pending transfers if it involves there club, they sign it or they don't sign it. Club Transfers with Meath if not signed will go to the CCC and both parties get to attend a hearing and both parties get to be herd. There is a big difference in Intercounty and club transfer's. I think you might have an old chip on the shoulder there because you lost two good players.

Because you lost 2 good players? Who did ? If you are talking about Clonard Im not from Clonard but i am usuing them as an example.

I actually couldn't care less about transfers tbh. Good luck to any player who wants to . I'm making the point of the double standard when it comes to the practice of transferring in players. If certain clubs were to transfer in a neighbouring junior clubs top player they would be absolutely hammered for it within in the County. And then other clubs do it and nobody and it barely gets mentioned.
