SUNDAY 3 NOVEMBER
Munster SHC first round
Doon (Limerick) 0-20 Ballygunner (Waterford) 0-25, Gaelic Grounds
Kildare SHC final
Maynooth 0-12 Naas 3-20, Cedral St Conleths Park
Wexford SHC final
St. Martin's 1-21 St. Anne's Rathangan 0-19, Chadwicks Wexford Park
TG4 broadcasted today's Wexford and Munster games. Great coverage as always. 7 unanswered points for Ballygunner in the second half was key. Their keeper pulled off a couple of saves as well to deny the brave Doon.
Kerry's senior champions Abbeydorney beat Waterford's Brickey Rangers 0-25 to 0-24 in the Munster IHC. Cashel King Cormacs are up next for Abbeydorney in a couple of weeks.

Stephen O'Keefe's save when Doon were 0-13 to 0-9 ahead early in the second half was a huge turning point. Dessie scored a point at the other end right away and after that he was unstoppable. Ballygunner are the team to beat.

Doon certainly put it up to a rusty Ballygunner early on. Stephen O' Keeffe is still the best goalie in the country. Not alone his stops but his distribution leading to scores often. A great weekend for all ladies and mens Waterford teams, with only Brickey Rangers losing to Abbeydorney the Kerry senior champs in extra time by a point.

He is possibly the most important part of that team..brilliant shot stopper and distribution is excellent..they also have Hutchinson and Fitzgerald who get inspirational scores when badly needed..that could be the hardest match they'll have for rest of campaign..I'd like to have seen doon with an extra week to prepare but they gave it a right go..thought the 2 Donovan's,Chris Thomas and Barry Murphy brought huge fight to this one..they created the best goal chances and one could have made all the difference..a thoroughly enjoyable game that showed the club game at its very best..

I wouldn't rule out St. Mullins, Clogh Ballacolla, or CTG either. And I think Feakle will beat Sars.

Slaughtneil gave Clough Ballacolla an absolute hiding in a challenge game last week I'm lead to believe

From a Galway point of view I don't give Loughrea much hope of winning the All Ireland apart from Gort and sarsfields (2015) they are probably one of the weakest ambassadors to represent Galway at the All Ireland Club stage in the last 20yrs.

Munster has the hallmarks of a epic humdinger of a Final between Ballygunner v Sarsfields!
Leinster is tricky.....for some reason Kilcormac/K is screaming out at me to win Leinster!!

St James beat St Mullins by 10 points in a challenge game recently. A nearly totally different St Mullins team were within a point or few of Doon and Loughmore. Challenge games are only challenge games, lads are trying not to get injured, and managements are giving players a run who likely won't get one in championship.

Naas are favourites. Don't you mean Martins might cause a shock?

Yes, but only slight favourites. Best odds: Naas 4/5 - St Martins 13/8 - Draw 9/1.

They are the only previous winners of it that are in it. Feakle will beat Sars
