I'm sure there's multiple sets of jerseys in use per game. I'm nearly sure most of the top teams change jerseys at half time. Then you also have the issue of sizing. There's no point in having player fit jerseys if your just going to throw them around. I'm sure your big midfielder traditionally wearing 9 is being given a larger size than your traditional corner forward wearing 15. I know that a jersey costs 70 quid or so, but that is small change to County Teams with training squads combined with backroom teams of up to 60 people.
