I see the interest in this competition is very low and rightly so. I think this competition could be repurposed as a third tier cup down the line. Let the oversea's team e.g. All British champions and USGAA enter at quarter/semi stage like NY in the Tailteann cup. If anything I preferred it when it was county second string teams or pulled from counties junior clubs only. Dunno if it is a good use of resources bringing teams over from UK/USA for. Do not get me wrong, I am all for inclusiveness but I read the other day about how the GAA are playing 2nd/3rd tier competitions in Croke Park at a loss so eventually they will not be played there any more gaelsboy (Leitrim) - Posts: 551 - 01/07/2024 14:21:50 2556268 Link 0 |
Fair play to ya legendzxix for eye updates. Question: What's the format of this year's competition? Why is there a quarterfinal? How did Warwickshire and Kilkenny qualify for the competition? Tacaí Liatroma (Leitrim) - Posts: 1109 - 05/07/2024 00:15:54 2557000 Link 1 |

Sorry, but that's drivel. If you look at the money generated from the UK and USA that has made its way into GAA coffers for many counties and the GAA at large, this small investment is a trickle. London and New York find themselves by and large, through sponsorship and fund raising like all counties. Now if Leitrim want to join this competition with a Junior selection, I doubt there would be much resistance. BaldyBadger (Cork) - Posts: 312 - 13/07/2024 14:43:04 2558691 Link 0 |
Did Kilkenny not enter the ABJFC?

We have won this All_Ireland twice. John Jackson Kiely managed the team the first time Came back and did it again. An estuate football man. Current hurling manager Peter Queally has a medal. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 2855 - 08/09/2024 16:47:49 2568942 Link 0 |
