Hopefully Dessie and co takes the defensive shackles off and lets Westmeath play an attacking game on Saturday evening. If we try and match Armagh's defensive play they will murder us on the counter. Give it a go and if we fail at least we tried to take the game to them. Also if there a breeze and we win the toss please take the advantage of the wind and none of the rubbish we witnessed in Portlaoise against Wicklow with the captain on the day being hung out to dry. Take a draw at this stage Bruno@1 (Westmeath) - Posts: 209 - 23/05/2024 12:58:29 2546579 Link 0 |
We frustrated Armagh last season by being defensively solid and holding onto the ball for long periods. We did this well against Down and they in turn were very unlucky not to get a result against Armagh playing the same way. Surely this is the way to go again.

Bruno@1 bad take from you! Westmeath will have to play to a game plan to beat Armagh. They will play like Down did against Armagh. Temple56 (Westmeath) - Posts: 513 - 23/05/2024 16:00:18 2546629 Link 0 |
Can we not just have a penalty shootout? fizzygravy (USA) - Posts: 163 - 23/05/2024 18:41:38 2546682 Link 0 |
You'd swear Dessie has them all tied up! Players have a significant input to the approach these days. I'm sure they will be come up with what they think will suit best.

What's the craic with Rían O'Neill? Not in the panel this weekend. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9518 - 24/05/2024 12:08:52 2546794 Link 0 |
Just some free advice for Rian O'Neill - stop celebrating all the time. Just take a score and run back out, win a cup and maybe then celebrate. gahfan (Wexford) - Posts: 639 - 04/06/2024 09:32:32 2549342 Link 1 |
